I’m trying to figure out what I want to do with my prospects. I got two of them just languishing on the bench. They are still kind of raw so I’m not confident on putting them in the lineup but they need to play more. So I need to get rid of the guys in the way or trade them or put them back in the minors.

If O’Neil and Montas are the guys you want to give up, then maybe take on one of the other huge contracts they have

The prospect is definitely the key piece. But they’d probably want more value than just two average players on the wrong side of 30

Don't know what formula they're using but it says I'd be giving up 10 "points" more than I'm getting in return, mostly due to the prospect

They also traded for Jung Hoo Lee so add another massive contract into their budget

I just feel like that would be an organization in desperation mode

They traded Soto for Michael King and Drew Thorpe (and then traded Thorpe for Cease so essentially just King)

I think you’re overvaluing O’Neil and Montas

They are in the same division with the Dodgers and the reigning World Series champs Diamondbacks
