They also lost or drew every match after a domestic cup match

Brighton played 8 Europa League matches and only won the following league match once all season

In my humble opinion, this season has gone exactly as one would expect for a mid-table club overperforming and getting into Europe but not having the sufficient squad depth to cope with European commitments
