People are saying NASCAR can artificially move the line with that so they cheated whoever that is that lost
  • Caesar7 minutes ago
They do. I just read a tweet about it. Didn’t quell any of the conspiracy
  • James9 minutes ago
Based on that photo I posted, I think NASCAR does the same thing.
  • James9 minutes ago
    How they actually do it

Which, given my complete lack of knowledge of NASCAR, is also why the painted line on the track is not perfectly straight after 200 laps of cars going 250 mph over it.
Well there is also a change in the bank between the two cars. So the perspective and bank change could make it look not straight.

Yeah but would that be there when you finish?
No they used transponders mounted in the car to determine who won. All mounted in the same spot.
  • James12 minutes ago
Also this is the photo NASCAR used, VAR lines and everything Image

Of course can’t have a painted line on a dirt track
That's not true. My grandpa used to work dirt racing. They would spray paint lines on the track for where you could start.

Well think about who the average NASCAR fan is :tinydead:

I’m being real entertained by this “line isn’t straight” conspiracy online
Did you see the Kentucky Derby on Saturday? They had a really close finish too
yeah but I’m not seeing any “this is a conspiracy!!! Rabble rabble!” Takes from the Kentucky Derby section
  • James18 minutes ago
They have a mirror across from the camera to help with the finish determination

As if in 2024 every sporting entity isn’t using some kind of high speed camera for such things

Buscher intentionally runs high to try to pin him to the wall coming out of the corner, as they moved down I think he held his ground higher so Larson ran into him and then that last one before the line was Larson still forcing him lower.

    Agree
  • James27 minutes ago
    Also that isn't that egregious.
  • James27 minutes ago
I think they both bumped each other.
  • Caesar30 minutes ago
Https://x.com/bleacherreport/status/178 ... Ncrl7GzHdw nASCAR fans. Is that bump right before the line the equivalent of Jordan pushing off?
