-
James • 19 minutes agoOh I see it now.
-
James • 20 minutes agoHuh?

Caesar • 20 minutes agoGuardian caps approved for use in-game next season
-
Caesar • 31 minutes agoAnywho
-
James • 35 minutes agoYeah
-
Caesar • 36 minutes agoBut I doubt this is the end of the legal fight. There was a rush of businesses on the fringe of the proposed city limits to be incorporated into Baton Rouge when the vote passed. Under Louisiana law, anyone living in a proposed city can contest incorporation. Kinda a bad look when your entire business community wants out
-
Caesar • 39 minutes agoEven though they're both rural backwaters
-
Caesar • 39 minutes agoLike Zachary and Central is EXPENSIVE AS FUCK to live in
-
Caesar • 39 minutes agoThose other three school districts raise money to pay for that shti through taxes lol
-
Caesar • 40 minutes agoEBR schools are basically ONLY in the city of Baton Rouge or in the unincorporated parts of the parish
-
Xixak • 40 minutes ago"We win 3-3 against coventry because the striker does not cut his toenail and Andy Cole and Sir Alex are on VAR"
-
Caesar • 40 minutes agoWe have 4 school districts presently: East Baton Rouge, Baker, Zachary and Central. The first is the parish, the rest are cities
-
Xixak • 40 minutes ago
-
James • 41 minutes ago
-
Caesar • 41 minutes agoCity specific taxes lol
-
James • 42 minutes agoHow do the other towns pay for a school district?
-
Caesar • 42 minutes agoBecause they were literally like "We want our own school district so we're going to form our own city but we're not creating any taxes specific to said city."
-
Caesar • 43 minutes agoThis is why the parish president was fighting it
-
Caesar • 44 minutes agoOne would have to be created
-
Caesar • 44 minutes agoThere is no school district
-
James • 46 minutes agoHow would that work? Our county changes the mill rate based on which school district you are in. Would it be similar?
-
Caesar • 47 minutes agoWhich makes their whole "we're doing this because we want our own school district" argument fall apart
-
Xixak • 47 minutes agoor maybe I'm a dumbass
-
Xixak • 47 minutes agoi'm ngl
-
Caesar • 47 minutes agoThey claim they can operate with no city specific taxes
-
Xixak • 47 minutes agoAmerican politics are really complicated
-
Caesar • 48 minutes agoOnly the parish sales tax
-
James • 48 minutes agoSo no sales tax then?
-
James • 48 minutes agoOurs is by County
-
James • 48 minutes agoWait that's probably by parish.
