  • James19 minutes ago
    Oh I see it now.
  • James20 minutes ago
    Huh?
  • Caesar20 minutes ago
Guardian caps approved for use in-game next season
  • Caesar31 minutes ago
    Anywho
  • James35 minutes ago
    Yeah
  • Caesar36 minutes ago
But I doubt this is the end of the legal fight. There was a rush of businesses on the fringe of the proposed city limits to be incorporated into Baton Rouge when the vote passed. Under Louisiana law, anyone living in a proposed city can contest incorporation. Kinda a bad look when your entire business community wants out
  • Caesar39 minutes ago
Even though they're both rural backwaters
  • Caesar39 minutes ago
Like Zachary and Central is EXPENSIVE AS FUCK to live in
  • Caesar39 minutes ago
Those other three school districts raise money to pay for that shti through taxes lol
  • Caesar40 minutes ago
EBR schools are basically ONLY in the city of Baton Rouge or in the unincorporated parts of the parish
  • Xixak40 minutes ago
"We win 3-3 against coventry because the striker does not cut his toenail and Andy Cole and Sir Alex are on VAR"
  • Caesar40 minutes ago
We have 4 school districts presently: East Baton Rouge, Baker, Zachary and Central. The first is the parish, the rest are cities
  • Xixak40 minutes ago
    :pgdead:
  • James41 minutes ago
    :wtf:
  • Caesar41 minutes ago
    City specific taxes lol
  • James42 minutes ago
How do the other towns pay for a school district?
  • Caesar42 minutes ago
Because they were literally like "We want our own school district so we're going to form our own city but we're not creating any taxes specific to said city."
  • Caesar43 minutes ago
This is why the parish president was fighting it
  • Caesar44 minutes ago
One would have to be created
  • Caesar44 minutes ago
    There is no school district
  • James46 minutes ago
How would that work? Our county changes the mill rate based on which school district you are in. Would it be similar?
  • Caesar47 minutes ago
Which makes their whole "we're doing this because we want our own school district" argument fall apart
  • Xixak47 minutes ago
    or maybe I'm a dumbass
  • Xixak47 minutes ago
    i'm ngl
  • Caesar47 minutes ago
They claim they can operate with no city specific taxes
  • Xixak47 minutes ago
    American politics are really complicated
  • Caesar48 minutes ago
    Only the parish sales tax
  • James48 minutes ago
    So no sales tax then?
  • James48 minutes ago
    Ours is by County
  • James48 minutes ago
    Wait that's probably by parish.
