A divorce is inherently going to be adversarial

Or avoid all that and have it legally in writing

Then when they end up screwing themselves, they start complaining about "only getting half"

That way the other person gets nothing

Instead of the common sense approach in this situation, of selling the house and splitting the proceeds, they'd rather try to fight for sole ownership of said house

And anything else you buy during the marriage is marital property unless designated otherwise. with a prenup, you can flip it which is what we did. anything i buy is mine. anything she buys is hers. we need to declare an asset marital property for it to be that

Once y'all both live in there together as a married couple, that's marital property
