Say less. Motives my man. Being close to relatives is all well and dandy but your family's future is home. I don't need to tell you that bud. Just don't get stuck in that rut

Plus the headquarters for my wife's job is there too. So it will allow her to advance her career more.

Oh yeah, it's not the end of the world. We enjoyed CT. We liked a lot about it, including the ability to do nice quick day trips to BOS or NYC. A lot more to do being able to do that than here in OKC.

Gotta make moves James, for the better. Ain't that simple but you got more than enough motive to do so

They want us unified to fight a political battle with our lives but keep us divided in our own backyard. Crazy
  • The JZA6 minutes ago
Yeah, I hate that red/blue system

Also I have a wife, so the women's issue affect her as well.

I believe we just need a whole new voting system in America. Tbh, this shit doesn't work. Having to fight for the right to vote, only for certain jobs to depend on the votes of the masses but the mass don't do their due diligence on these politics and ultimately get fucked by the same hand.
For example my vote doesn't really matter in any national election due to how red Oklahoma is

Im guessing the boomer/silent generation family members are the ones really holding that extended family dynamic together in most cases
  • The JZA14 minutes ago
Yeah, a lot of sticky situations there. I'd def get up outta there for the sake of the daughters. They need a fairer chance at the challenges ahead

Like we are in the bottom 3 education wise.
  • James18 minutes ago
Education is plummeting as our elected leader there is in there for culture wars, also our state essentially views women as second class citizens as they have gone pretty hard on the anti-abortion stuff, to include denying healthcare to women because it might be consider an extension of "abortion".

Yeah we are a little better than that but it doesn't outweigh the issues we have with the direction the state is heading
    What's the task at hand?

    Especially with two little girls

We moved back to OK because we thought it would be good to be near family and as we are back we realized that it wasn't what we thought and we don't like Oklahoma
That exactly what that was for me. We came home and family just wasn't family. Nobody reached out unless someone is in the hospital or dead

I have my own life with 2 kids, my wife and I both have full time jobs. We do major holidays but really we don't do much outside of that.
That was the norm for my family as well, but we all connected through my great grandmother. She was a mason & did a lot for her community during her day. But we can just pop up there to her place and someone would be there already visiting. Like, I missed that honestly
