Man if they’re starting Dilly at PG and get no assists, this series is easy. Spurs in 4 unless Ant goes nuclear for a game.

No replacement for Conley makes the Wolves ass McCakes.

When in doubt, trust the Captain. Wemby made Gobert of no consequence in Game 1 :obama:
Gobert got traded brother

I liked their roster beforehand but looking at the matchups, we just match up perfectly

Game 2 Overreaction: The duality of Wemby as he breaks franchise record in consecutive games
AP May 5th, 2026

SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama set the franchise record with nine made threes in the Spurs' Game 1 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. In Game 2, with a more aggressive Anthony Edwards, it was Wembanyama's defensive work that led the Spurs to a 2-0 series lead, holding the Timberwolves to 38 percent from the field in a 115-89 blowout as Wembanyama set a new franchise record with 26 rebounds and tied a franchise record with nine blocks.

What's even more impressive is that Wembanyama accomplished the feat not against the Timberwolves much maligned starting center Day'Ron Sharpe, who was sent over from Detroit as part of the Rudy Gobert trade and who surrenders six inches in height to Wembanyama but against fellow seven-footer Steven Adams, who played 31 minutes as Sharpe left the game with an injury.

Sharpe was diagnosed with a collapsed lung after the game and will likely miss the rest of the season, putting the trailing Timberwolves in a tough predicament. Do they replace Sharpe with Adams, like they did in Game 2, or go with a smaller lineup which we saw them feature at times in the third quarter when Adams was on the bench with Julius Randle at center?

While Minnesota will ponder whether to go big or go small, San Antonio doesn't have those issues because they can stay big even while going small with Wembanyama equally equipped to guard Adams and traditional bigs just as he is equipped to neutralized a small-ball center such as Randle. Going with Randle would allow the Wolves to take Wembanyama out of the paint and help thwart the nine blocks he had in Game 2. But starting Randle would allow Wembanyama to dominate the offensive boards, something Adams did a good job of limiting when he was on the court. But starting Adams allow Wembanyama to continue to occupy the paint, making guys like Robert Dillingham almost a non-factor without the ability to attack the rim even when he does seldomly pass his defender and offensively, Wembanyama can attack Adams in the perimeter.

The truth of the matter is there are no right answers when it comes to a talent like Victor Wembanyama, which is what made him one of the greatest draft prospects and he's now turning into one of the best players in the league. And perhaps in the not too distant future, one of the greatest players we've ever seen, period.

Just feels as though Ant has no offensive help in this series. Might be a sweep for sure.

its almost not fair since Adams can't keep up with Wemby when he steps out to the three point line. I'm planning on playing my starters less minutes in game 4 but if I wasn't, I think he'd have a good shot at breaking the NBA record in the playoffs which is 12 3pt made
