PHOENIX — Tough game for the Suns as the Mavericks came to town & ended up on top. While DJ Porter Sr. contained Mo Cash in the post, the other two brothers led the Mavs in scoring & ultimately put the Suns away.
For the Suns, Recks Black scored a game-high 24 points, & DJ Porter Sr. followed with 20 points & 15 rebounds.
"Dallas brought it on the defensive end of the floor. They forced us to take some really tough shots & they were the better team today." Tiny Jimenez told DS.net post-game.
While Mo Cash was contained with just a 9 points & 5 rebound performance, backup Aron Boylan stepped up & dominated the glass with a game-high 18 rebounds.
The Phoenix Suns are now 1-1 in the NBA Cup standings after today's loss to the Mavericks & will have a chance at redemption on the road against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday.
