Summary: Chen wasn’t the most heralded recruit in the ACC but he has proven to be one of the best pro prospects. During his time at UNC, he has developed all the tools you look for in a modern NBA forward. He can really stroke it from midrange and shows a lot of promise to develop into a high level NBA stretch four. He’s got a high release point and a smooth lefty shot. With his height and length, it’s really hard to block. Chen can defend inside and out and has nice agility when defending against guards. He fits the mold of a modern versatile forward who can do a little bit of everything on the court. He’s not a very powerful player and will have to bulk up but his frame should carry weight well. He’s not much of a low post scorer but he can make some noise in the paint on follow-up slams and scoring in transition.

He dunks the ball with ease rising high above the rim and showing off his length and high level athletic ability.
