Autumn Has A Boyfriend?!

There's nothing I look forward to more than my family after an extended road trip with the team. I've been away for nearly a week, & when I returned home I was hit with some unexpected news.

It all started when my daughter August (also known as AJ & the oldest by 2 minutes) decided to snitch on her sister, Autumn, about their upcoming birthday.

"Did you know Autumn has a boyfriend at school?" She said, trying to get a reaction out of me.

"Boyfriend?! No, she didn't tell me about that.. Who is he?"



"His name is Gio & she wants to invite him over for our birthday party but she was scared to tell you.. I just wanted to let you know.. you know, in case she doesn't tell you."

"Ah! So you're just telling on your sister, I see.."

AJ tossed her hands in the air as she left the room with a massive grin saying, "If she's in trouble, it's not my fault!"

My girls are turning 12 on the 16th & Autumn already has a boyfriend?! Instead of confronting her, I'll wait for her to mention inviting this boy to our house for their birthday party. Not saying I'm going to say no, because I'd rather see my daughter happy more than anything, but I'm definitely going to probe her for more information on how serious she's taking it. AJ could just be tattling & fluffing up the story to get her sister in trouble.. Hopefully Autumn tells me something soon.
