Act II. Executing The Plan

This is intended to be read as a narration of the plan while the photos are the events being executed, similar to a movie.

"Now this mission is simple. Intercept the NOC list & get out of there without a trace. We will takeover complete control of the hotel's security cameras & disable them while you're moving around."

"First, Agent Liberty, dressed as one of Sanguine's stylists, will find a secluded position within the dressing area to prepare for the fashion show."

"You will then proceed to take a seat at Liberty's station where she will prepare you for the Sanguine Show.."

Image

"Wait a minute.. Is the makeup really necessary?"

"Absolutely, Mr. Jimenez! You must look the part!"

(...)

Image

"After you've done your first walk, you & Liberty will need to find new disguises to infiltrate new parts of the building.."

Image

"With your new looks, you'll do some recon among party goers & event staff.."

Image

"You both will then proceed to the top floor of the building in search of Daria Margolis's laptop & the NOC list where you will be met with armed security.."

Image

"Disguised as IAGO's personal bodyguards, you shouldn't have any resistance moving about freely around the premises."

Image

"You'll enter Daria Margolis's office & question her about the NOC list."

Image

"Once Agent Liberty has neutralized the target, we'll locate her laptop.. Hopefully it's just misplaced."

Image

"With the target down & the NOC list secured, all that's left is your escape. There will be a stragetically placed speedboat not far from the building."

Image

"Hit the water & meet at the rendezvous with MI6. They'll obtain the NOC list & clear you for your return home."

"Incredible work today, you two. We saved a lot of lives by retrieving this list for MI6. Are there any questions?"

"What city are we coming back to?"

"Your ticket says.. Los Angeles, sir." Agent Lee said.

Tiny pulled out his cell phone & typed up a text to Recks Black.

"I'll be in LA tonight if you want to get a game or two in on your court!"

"I'm right here waiting." Recks replied.

"Haha. I'll swing by this evening if it's cool with you."

"Any time. See you later my brother."

Act III. Kickin' It With Recks Black.

With the worst possible luck, Tiny Jimenez's flight to Los Angeles experienced a 4-hour delay. When he finally landed, it was 2:45am.

"Sorry to disappoint you, mane. I wasn't hiding.. Flight was delayed & I just landed in LA. Are you still down for me to slide by?"

Recks responded almost instantly.

"I said any time, didn't I? I might not step in the cage with you, but you're in my world on the court. Feel free to still come by my man."

Tiny hopped into a rental vehicle provided by the airport & drove to the House of Black.

Image

Tiny parked the car in Recks' driveway at 3:24 am when he noticed that Recks seemed to be having an altercation with an unknown individual on his front porch. Before Tiny could ask what the situation was, the man revealed a machete with the intent of slaying the 6x NBA champion. He grabbed Recks by his shirt & attempted to drive the blade into his stomach.

Image

For a split second, time became completely still. Recks Black's eyes were wielded shut as he braced for impact.. His life flashing before his very eyes.

Recks began to feel the hand that had clutched him so tightly loosen up as he accepted death was near. But when he opened his eyes, he was at a loss for words as his potential executioner, identified as Clinton Brown, laid to rest at his feet with a bullet wound to the heart.

Recks said nothing as he took a moment to process that he was still alive. He didn't have a scratch on him. He still has his loving family.

"I don't know what to say right now besides thank you.. I'm at a loss for words.." Recks muttered.

"That's fine, brotha. Take a seat & catch your breath.."

"You got him perfectly in the chest. You saved my life! How? What?"

"I didn't know. I was just on my way to kick it with you. I saw the blade & I had no other choice.. I chose to protect my friend."

"Thank you for saving my life... This fool came here to kill me thinking it would be justice for his sister.. Instead things just got even messier."

"Well for what it's worth.. I don't know how messier it can get than this right here.." Tiny said as he pointed with his gun to the dead man on the sidewalk.

"What's important is your still here for your family. They need you here more than anyone."

"Luckily Khyri took all of the kids to San Francisco today, otherwise they'd be freaking out right now.. I can hear Khyri now.. 'Tiny Jimenez done brought a gun on my property'.." He said with a laugh.

Tiny tossed his arm around his pal Recks as his heightened state began to come back down to reality. Tiny informed Recks he would take care of the situation as he referred to the organization, The Armada, without saying it's name. It was clear that the attempted killer, Clinton Brown, was killed in an act of self-defense. The story was shelved from the public & basketball fans around the world began to prepare for the 2030 NBA offseason.
