That top 25 looks like some vintage 1942 stuff.

How are things looking going forward? It's a long way up for your guys.

Well the bad news is that as bad as we are our best 2 players are graduating after this season. The good news is that a few guys have decent potential. Our freshman point guard turns the ball over a shitload but he has talent. Our junior backup power forward I expect to be somewhat improved next year. We've got a top 100 recruit coming in. I think progress is being made but it's going to be a long road, we could improve like 125 spots and still be the worst team in the Big Ten.

Rutgers keeps it close for most of the game, but ultimately falls to Purdue

PISCATAWAY, Nj -- -- Sophomore guard Gregory Wolthers scored 15 points and added 5 rebounds as the Purdue Boilermakers (14-12, 4-11 Big Ten) defeated the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (5-19, 1-14 Big Ten) by the score of 64-55. The game was much more competitive than some of Rutgers' recent losses, but the end result was the same as Rutgers could never get over the hump in the second half.

For Rutgers, senior center Cedric Alexander was the only player to score in double digits with 14 points. He also had 9 rebounds in the contest. Senior forward Melvin Lytle never really got going in this game, taking just one shot and scoring 2 points in 30 minutes. He did have 6 rebounds. As is often the case, freshman guard Reginald Weaver was a mixed bag. He contributed 8 points and 7 rebounds but also turned the ball over 7 times.

Rutgers next game is February 17 on the road against Penn State (7-17, 4-11 Big Ten).

Kareem Kurtz is the latest name on the coaching hot seat. He has led Auburn to a lackluster season so far and school administration is reportedly losing patience with their coach.

Reginald Weaver is killing any chances you have of taking this team up. Oof.
