Might get a W in this one, Iowa gives up a lot of points and Rutgers shooting better. Hopefully there's not another 12 turnover performance from Weaver

Rhodes goes off for 32 as Iowa defeats Rutgers

PISCATAWAY, Nj -- -- Junior guard Renardo Rhodes, who is averaging 21.1 points for the Iowa Hawkeyes (10-11, 6-6 Big Ten) this season, scored 32 points as Iowa defeated Rutgers (5-17, 1-12 Big Ten) by the score of 85-72. The game was not as close as the score indicates; the Hawkeyes led by as much as 26 in the second half before the Scarlet Knights put together an all but meaningless run in garbage time.

The game got off to an inauspicious start for the Scarlet Knights, who turned the ball over 15 times in the first half while allowing Iowa to shoot 62% from the floor in the period including 9 for 11 from three. Despite cooling off significantly in the second half, the Hawkeyes still shot 53% for the game and 15 for 22 (68%) from three.

For Rutgers, senior forward Melvin Lytle poured in 13 points. Lytle also chipped in with 2 assists, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks.

Next Rutgers game: February 10 at Maryland (15-7, 7-5 Big Ten)

Is Dayton actually worthy of being #1 or is it lack of competition that is resulting in an undefeated record?

They're legit I think. They beat Kentucky in the NIT Season Tip-Off (and West Virginia and Louisville, though neither of those are that great in this season). However they've obviously played a lot of not great teams besides that so we'll see how they hold up come tournament time.
