Introduction

In an alternate timeline, and following a season (and frankly decades) of irrelevance at best and embarrassment at worst, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, as relatively new members of the Big Ten Conference, decide to finally get serious about winning college basketball. Enter Coach William Walters, widely regarded as a basketball savant, who hopes to be the man to bring Rutgers out of the basketball doldrums and into the sunlight.

Mission Statement

This is not intended to replace the CH2K8 legacy I just started on here. However, I have just discovered this game and I am excited to give it a try. Also, the format of it is much more convenient for me to play and update with work and everything so I think I will be able to do a lot more with this game more quickly.

Video Game / Settings

This is being played on Draft Day Sports College Basketball 2021. I have used the mod for real team names and conferences, but I have left the defaults for team prestige etc and am using generated coaches.

Rutgers Pulls Away in 2nd Half, Gets Win in Walters' First Game

In the first game of the William Walters era, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (1-0) rode a 47 point second half to a 85-74 victory over the Loyola (IL) Ramblers (0-1). The Scarlet Knights were led by senior center Cedric Alexander, who hit 7 of 11 shots on his way to 21 points, 2 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, and a block. Senior forward Melvin Little played 29 minutes and scored 10 points with 2 rebounds and a steal.

Rutgers next game is at home on November 21 against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks (0-1)
