As we quickly approach preseason scrimmages for many college basketball programs across the country, we've got you covered on all of the unexpected changes and surprises heading into this season.

Perhaps most unexpected was the announcement that Vanderbilt will now be competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Vanderbilt's basketball program is the first team to transition from the SEC to the ACC. Vanderbilt's other sports programs before the commencement of their next season.

There was also plenty of movement at the mid-major and G5 level this off-season, all teams that have moved are listed below!

traveltall's roster is about 90% updated for every team down to their conference and updated arena. It unfortunately leaves the 11 teams above displaced.

They replaced the Independents league with the American, which has all the correct members as well as La Salle.These teams will not play conference games against each other due to the limitations in the game, but there is still a conference tournament in which the winner gets an automatic bid.

The IVY League now has a 4-team conference tournament, but the regular season champion still gets the automatic bid.

There are five teams (will update list here later) that have updated rosters and coaches but still use the same colors and logo as the original 2k8 team. I will avoid playing these teams unless I have to in a pre or postseason tournament.

He's more active in the College Hoops discord that floats around OS. Him and one other person completely built the roster themselves from scratch and they discovered how to adjust the conferences in the Hex Editor but there are some displaced teams. I'm running college hoops on an emulator with a version of this file that was edited to work on RPCS3 but the file was originally released for PS3.
