Raptors add former FSU PG/QB Ward

The Raptors continued filling out their roster via free agency, adding some depth in the backcourt with the signing of Charlie Ward. Ward played in 91 games at Florida State and put up career averages of 8.1 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 4.4 APG and 2.6 SPG. As a senior he improved those numbers to 10.5/3.9/4.9/2.8.
Detroit selected Ward with their 15th pick in the second round in 1994. In limited playing time he averaged 1.8 PPG, 1.5RPG, 1.0 APG and 1.0 BPG.
Ward was also a great QB for the FSU football team, winning the Heisman Trophy and a National Championship.

Raptors bolster front court with Dudley deal

Toronto added another player to their inaugural roster last night, signing center Chris Dudley to a two year deal worth 2.5 million dollars.
Dudley was drafted by the Cavaliers in the 1987 draft. After two and half seasons in Cleveland he was traded to the Nets for draft picks.
The 1990-91 season saw Dudley's best numbers with the big man averaging 7.1 PPG and 8.4 RPG. Career averages are 4.4 PPG and 6.8 RPG. Last season Dudley put up 3.9 PPG and 9.1 RPG while averaging 25 minutes per game.

Toronto signed what is likely to be their last player before the season starts as they agreed to a one year, $560,000 dollar contract with Greg Foster. Foster played under Wes Unseld on the Bullets from 1990 to 1994 before signing a one year contract with the Cavaliers last season.
In a limited role Foster averaged over five points and over five rebounds last season with Cleveland.
Career numbers for Foster are 6.0 PPG and 4.6 RPG.
