LeBron James led the Lakers with 38 points, eight rebound and three assists and Anthony Davis added 20 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block as the Lakers clinched a berth for the play-in tournament as they continue to eye the sixth seed. D'Angelo Russell put in 18 points and dished out 14 assists along with four steals and Austin Reaves finished with 16 points, hitting 3-of-5 from the three-point line. R.J. Barrett led the Raptors with 29 points, nine rebounds and six assists. The Lakers broke the game wide open in the third quarter scoring 46 points enroute to a 133-99 victory.

Lakers end road trip with another blowout victory over Wizards

Lakers in a logjam for sixth seed, could get out of the play-in tournament

Anthony Davis dominated the Wizards in the Lakers final game of their six-game road trip. After clinching at the very least a spot in the play-in tournament the Lakers defeated the Wizards 134-115 to wrap up their road trip with a 3-3 record. Davis finished with a game high 33 points and 19 rebounds while LeBron James added 31 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. D'Angelo Russell put up 25 points, including 5-of-7 from behind the three-point line and Spencer Dinwiddie added 22 points off the bench while knocking down 5-of-8 from behind the three-point line. Jared Butler led the Wizards with 28 points while Kyle Kumza and Jordan Poole each added 23 points a piece.

Since the NBA introduced the Play-In Tournament the Lakers have found themselves having to play their win into the postseason and have success in doing so. They have appeared in two Play-In games and have won both (both of those games were home games) and it would seem the Lakers will find themselves once again in the same position, especially after losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers 134-120. LeBron James led the Lakers with 38 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Anthony Davis finished with 14 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and three blocks. The dynamic backcourt of the Cavaliers provided a huge lift with the return of Donovan Mitchell who finished with 28 points, seven rebounds, six assists and one steal while Darius Garland led the team with 31 points and 10 assists. The Cavaliers swept the season series from the Lakers this year, defeating them in Cleveland back in November 148-120. The Lakers have four games remaining and currently sit in the 8th seed in the Western Conference.
