1st Quarter
The Los Angeles Lakers are 2-0 to start the season for the first time since the 2010 season after a narrow victory over the Phoenix Suns, 110-108. The Lakers got great performances from everyone involved and picked up two very important and possible playoff series contenders in the Nuggets and Suns. On Thursday night, the Lakers as they did the night before in Denver, were clicking as a well fine unit. Leading by three points, 17-14 in the first quarter, Anthony Davis went to work and dominated the rest of the quarter and helped extend the Lakers lead to fourteen, 38-24.

2nd Quarter
As the second quarter got underway and the Lakers increased their lead to a game-high twenty-two points, 50-28. The Suns however would fight their way back to trail at halftime, 59-53.

3rd Quarter
With the third quarter underway, both teams were matching each other basket for basket. The Suns did get the Lakers lead down to a single basket following a layup by Jordan Goodwin, 73-71, but the Lakers executed on the offensive end and held an 83-75 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

4th Quarter
The Suns started the fourth quarter with a pair of back-to-back three-pointers by Nas'sir LIttle and Kevin Durant, cutting the Lakers lead down, 85-83. The Lakers had an answer for everything the Suns seemed to throw at them, but they were playing it close to the chest. Kevin Durant heated up at the right time as he went on a scoring run in the fourth quarter, doing everything he could to keep the Suns right there. And as quiet of night as he was having, LeBron James made some big plays that secured the win for the Lakers. Grayson Allen had a chance to win the game but his three-pointer right in front of the Lakers bench fell short, giving the Lakers a 110-108 victory.

1st Quarter
This was a back and forth tussle in the first quarter. The Kings jumped out to a quick seven-point lead, 20-13, but the Lakers were able to charge back and take the lead with under two minutes left, 26-24. A layup by Anthony Davis with under a minute to go tied things up as the first quarter ended, 28-28.

2nd Quarter
The Lakers took control early on in the second quarter, extending their lead to ten points midway through the quarter, thanks in large part to Christian Wood (nine points in that span), 47-37. The Kings were able to get that deficit down to a manageable six points heading into the half, 54-48.

3rd Quarter
The Kings came out of the break red hot and back-to-back three-pointers by Harrison Barnes and Kevin Huerter gave the Kings their first lead since the second quarter, 60-58. The Lakers recaptured the lead and went up by six after two free throws by Austin Reaves, 70-64. The Kings continued to be aggressive on the offensive side and ended the third quarter on a 12-6 run, giving them a six-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, 84-78.

4th Quarter
The Kings seemingly had an answer for every run the Lakers wanted to make in the fourth quarter. Malik Monk's three-pointer at 7:54 remaining gave the Kings their biggest lead of the game, 98-88. The Lakers did close the gap and get within one point using 14-5 run over the next three minutes. After a Sabonis dunk gave the Kings a 112-106 lead with one minute to go, both LeBron James and Anthony Davis knocked consecutive free throws pulling the Lakers within two points, 112-110, but De'Aaron Fox with the shot clock winding down, hit a three-pointer that sealed the game for the Kings, 115-110 the final.
