Andrew Harrison drops 23 to welcome Tavon Cash to the NBA

(1-0) 91 @ 74 (0-1)

The Sixers' rotation was so bad this game that it made Luke Walton and Jason Kidd look like geniuses.

Starting Lineups:
Grizzlies | Sixers
Wade Baldwin -PG- Tavon Cash
Andrew Harrison -SG- Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot
Troy Williams -SF- Ben Simmons
Deyonta Davis -PF- Dario Saric
Lester Edwards -C- Jahlil Okafor
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thomas & Mack Center. Paradise, NV. - On paper, the Philadelphia 76ers have the most stacked team this summer league. With number one overall picks Tavon Cash and Ben Simmons along with Dario Saric, Jahlil Okafor, and T.J. McConnell, no team should be able to stop them. Yet, they get blown out by the likes of Andrew Harrison and Wade Baldwin. What happened? The coaching on the Sixers side of the game was abysmal.

At the beginning of the game, the Sixers starters looked like they were going to blow out the Grizzlies; however, subbing in the bench allowed the Grizzlies to take the lead who kept it for the rest of the game. Tavon Cash and Ben Simmons were the only players on the Sixers who scored in double figures with 21 and 11 respectively.

Grizzlies | 17 | 22 | 26 | 26 || 91
Sixers | 18 | 15 | 22 | 19 || 74

Allen Jameson: 12 pts, 1 reb, 1 stl, 1 blk, 5/9 FG, 2/5 3PT
Troy Williams: 11 pts, 4 reb, 5 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk, 5/9 FG, 2/5 3PT

Philadelphia 76ers

Bulls have no answer for Sixers' inside scoring, gave up 60 points

(1-1) 65 @ 74 (1-1)

Sixers guard Tavon Cash shoots over three Bulls defenders (left-to-right: Denzel Valentine, Bobby Portis, Jerian Grant) for an and-one.

Starting Lineups:
Bulls | Sixers
Jerian Grant -PG- Tavon Cash
Rodney McGruder -SG- Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot
Denzel Valentine -SF- Ben Simmons
Lauri Markkanen -PF- Dario Saric
Bobby Portis -C- Jahlil Okafor
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thomas & Mack Center. Paradise, NV. - After a disappointing first game, the Sixers bounced back quite nicely against the Bulls. Ben Simmons took advantage of Chicago's weaker interior defense, dropping a game-high 20 points on 9 of 13 shooting. Richaun Holmes and Tavon Cash also helped increase the Sixers lead in a 30 point third quarter compared to the Bulls' measly 10. Holmes and Cash finished the game with 15 and 13 points respectively. The bench performed much better this game as T.J. McConnell led the second unit with 9 points and a game-high 6 assists.

The Bulls could not do anything to recover in the second half, but Rodney McGruder kept on shooting. The 26 year old shooting guard believed that he was Kobe reincarnated, chucking up 16 shots but only converting 4 of them.

Bulls | 21 | 21 | 10 | 13 || 65
Sixers | 23 | 21 | 30 | 16 || 90

Chicago Bulls
Lauri Markkanen: 10 pts, 1 reb, 1 stl, 4/6 FG, 2/2 3PT
Kris Dunn: 10 pts, 2 reb, 2 ast, 5/9 FG, 0/1 3PT
Jerian Grant: 9 pts, 3 reb, 1 ast, 1 blk, 3/9 FG, 1/4 3PT, 2/2 FT
Rodney McGruder: 8 pts, 2 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl, 4/16 FG, 0/5 3PT
Jared Peterson: 3 pts, 8 reb, 3 ast, 2 stl, 4 blk, 1/5 FG, 1/3 3PT

Philadelphia 76ers
Ben Simmons: 20 pts, 4 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl, 9/13 FG, 2/3 FT
Richaun Holmes: 15 pts, 4 reb, 1 ast, 6/8 FG, 3/4 FT
Tavon Cash: 13 pts, 5 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl, 6/16 FG, 0/1 3PT, 1/1 FT
Dario Saric: 9 pts, 10 reb, 1 ast, 2 stl, 4/7 FG, 0/1 3PT, 1/1 FT
T.J. McConnell: 9 pts, 1 reb, 6 ast, 2/3 FG, 1/1 3PT, 4/4 FT
Jahlil Okafor: 7 pts, 6 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk, 3/9 FG, 1/2 FT

Hibbert Player of the Game: Rodney McGruder: 20 min, 8 pts, 4/16 FG, 0/5 3PT, -14 +/-

Sixers hold on to the lead to go over .500 before the tournament

(1-2) 86 @ 89 (1-1)

Sixers guard Tavon Cash was ready to throw hands with Magic forward Jonathan Isaac after Isaac reminded Cash of Pittsburgh.

Starting Lineups:
Magic | Sixers
Quinn Cook -PG- Tavon Cash
A.J. Jackson -SG- Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot
Jonathan Isaac -SF- Ben Simmons
Justin Harper -PF- Dario Saric
Mike Muscala -C- Jahlil Okafor
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thomas & Mack Center. Paradise, NV. - Without a doubt, this was one of the most exciting games of this year's summer league. Tavon Cash shows the Vegas crowd why he was picked number one overall by carrying his team throughout the second half. The former Miami Hurricane finished the game with 24 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, and no turnovers in his best performance so far. In the first half, it was all Richaun Holmes. Mike Muscala and Justin Harper were too weak to contain Holmes from dunking on everyone, scoring 21 of his 23 points in the first half. Jahlil Okafor also took advantage of the Magic's weak frontcourt, dropping 15 points on 50 percent shooting in the process.

A.J. Jackson should have never dropped in the draft. If Duke actually played him, he would have been guaranteed to go top 3 at least. For the first three quarters, Jackson was nowhere to be seen; however, something turned on in the fourth quarter. Every time Jackson touched the ball in the fourth, defenders could not stay in front of him. Fadeaways, stepbacks, acrobatic layups. Vegas was watching a performance that looks reminiscent of a young Kobe Bryant. Although the Magic were not able to win, Jackson stole the crowd's heart. The NBL MVP finished the game weith 27 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals.

Magic | 15 | 18 | 21 | 32 || 86
Sixers | 17 | 27 | 20 | 25 || 89

Orlando Magic
A.J. Jackson: 27 pts, 4 reb, 5 ast, 3 stl, 10/21 FG, 3/7 3PT, 4/5 FT
Quinn Cook: 13 pts, 4 reb, 2 ast, 6/14 FG, 1/3 3PT
Jonathan Isaac: 9 pts, 6 reb, 6 ast, 2 stl, 2 blk, 4/10 FG, 1/3 3PT
Mario Hezonja: 9 pts, 1 reb, 2 ast, 3 stl, 1 blk, 4/11 FG, 1/4 3PT
Clark Eisley: 8 pts, 1 reb, 3/9 FG, 1/2 3PT, 1/1 FT
Mike Muscala: 4 pts, 7 reb, 2 ast, 4 stl, 4 blk, 2/5 FG, 0/1 3PT

Philadelphia 76ers
Tavon Cash: 24 pts, 4 reb, 5 ast, 1 stl, 10/20 FG, 1/2 3PT, 3/3 FT
Richaun Holmes: 23 pts, 4 reb, 1 ast, 2 stl, 2 blk, 10/16 FG, 3/5 FT
Jahlil Okafor: 15 pts, 5 reb, 7/14 FG, 1/2 FT
Ben Simmons: 8 pts, 6 reb, 3 ast, 4/7 FG
Dario Saric: 6 pts, 10 reb, 1 ast, 3/7 FG
