Madison Square Garden. New York, NY. - Riding the momentum from their victory over Kentucky, Miami came into the Elite Eight for a rematch against Duke. Duke may have kept close with Miami in the first half, but it all went downhill afterwards. The Duke frontcourt were unable to contain the likes of Dewan Huell, Kamari Murphy, or Rodney Miller from racking up points in the paint. The three Miami big men finished with 25, 12, and 10 respectively.

The Blue Devils kept chucking up bad shots to try to keep up with Miami's offense in the second half. If Jayson Tatum got the ball at the three point line, he would shoot it right away even if there was a defender right in his face. Grayson Allen had to put down his role as Ted Cruz for twenty minutes to become the white version of Kobe on an off shooting night. The Senator of Texas finished the game with 21 points, but it was all for naught. Other than one of the candidates of the 2016 US Election, nobody else on Duke played well offesively aside from Luke Kennard off the bench with 17 points and a 10 points-11 assists night from Frank Jackson. Much of the lack of firepower on offense was due to the Hurricanes success in getting the majority of the Blue Devils into foul trouble. Starting forward Harry Giles played a measly 12 minutes tonight because he kept getting into foul trouble as soon as he stepped on the court.

After winning in their first ever Elite Eight appearance, the Miami Hurricanes will go to their first Final Four to play either Arizona State or Rhode Island.

University of Phoenix Stadium. Glendale, AZ. - This year, the last stop of the NCAA Tournament is in Phoenix, Arizona. Twenty-five minutes away from the University of Phoenix Stadium is Tempe, which is the location of Arizona State. When the Sun Devils advanced to the Final Four to play in front of their home crowd, it looked like destiny for them to win the tournament. The Canes, however, did not care about those kinds of whole storylines.

Blue Devils, Sun Devils, Black Devils, Trash Devils, Moon Devils. It doesn't matter what kind of devil you are because Miami will find a way to beat you. Arizona State looked like they found the answer to stopping Miami in the first half, but the Canes show the nation once again that they're a second half team. After missing all six of his shots to start the game, Rashad Muhammad went off in the second half. A big reason why Miami was able to take the lead from Arizona State was thanks to a huge 15-0 run led by Muhammad and Davon Reed. Shot after shot, Muhammad and Reed continued to put up points on the boards. Once Miami got a double-digit lead halfway into the second half, Arizona State looked confused on the court. The hometown school saw their dream of playing in the National Championship in front of their fans slowly slip away from them. The Sun Devils attempted to rally late in the second half, managing to cut the deficit to four points with two minutes. Unfortunately, they were unable to do more because Tavon Cash kept making all his free throws whenever he was intentionally fouled.

First Elite Eight, first Final Four, first National Championship appearance all in one season. Just one more win, Miami.

Arizona State | 41 | 40 || 81
