Getting that #1 spot was clutch, now time to defend it against Duke!

Cash money, making Lonzo look a chump.

Watsco Center. Coral Gables, FL. - ESPN and NBA scouts were in bliss tonight with the primetime college basketball game tonight was between Tavon Cash and the number one ranked Miami Hurricanes and the Duke Blue Devils. Aside from the projected number one overall pick Tavon Cash, this game features Duke freshmen Jayson Tatum and Harry Giles. Unfortunately for Duke, Coach K's lack of playing all his stud freshmen caused A.J. Jackson to leave the team last month. While Duke has continued to not up to the hype that they garnered at the beginning of the season, A.J. Jackson has been flourishing in the NBL in Australia. Since joining the Sydney Kings last month, Jackson has brought a resurgence to the team and led them to an eight game winning streak to give them a playoff berth. If anyone is interested in watching A.J. Jackson play because Coach K did not want to, you can go to Fox Sports and watch the NBL Finals between the Sydney Kings and the Perth Wildcats tomorrow.

Now on to the game, it went back and forth between the two teams for the entire first half. In the first five minutes of the second half, Miami gained a ten point advantage over Duke and continued to keep the lead until Cash was subbed out. Afterwards, Frank Jackson went James Harden minus the beard and strippers by doing acrobatic layups over Miami big men Kamari Murphy and Rodney Miller and shooting stepback threes. Duke managed to get a two point lead, but it quickly went away once Cash and the starters came back into the game. With two minutes left, Miami was leading by four points when all of a sudden Cash drives past Frank Jackson on the baseline and does a reverse dunk over Jayson Tatum. At that moment, the momentum was in Miami's full possession and Duke would not be able to recover from it.

Cash tied his career high in assists with 20 tonight to along with his 14 points and 2 steals. The Canes' big men stepped up tonight against the Blue Devils' inexperienced frontcourt as Huell, Murphy, and Miller all scored in double digits with 23, 18, and 10, respectively.

With the regular season now over, fans will have to wait for more Hurricanes in the ACC Tournament.
