NOTES & QUOTES

Heat Starting Five: Antonio Snow, Allen Crabbe, Justise Winslow, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Bam Adebayo

Summary: The Indiana Pacers have won 6 of their last 10 games as they are working their way back to .500 as the All-Star break looms ahead. After a close first quarter, the heat began to gain some separation as Antonio Snow kicked off a 11-0 scoring run with a big dunk over Demarcus Cousins. When Snow drove the lane again in the third quarter, he was stopped abruptly by former teammate Michael Beasley.

Cousins was the offensive catalyst for Indiana in the first half, scoring 20 points, but he was shut down by Bam Adebayo and Bol Bol in the second half, scoring only 4 points.

Miami’s bench carried a lot of the weight in this one, contributing 46 points in the win. They were led by JJ Redick’s 12 point outing.

Antonio Snow on Michael Beasley’s hard foul: He wasn’t going to let me get that basket. I knew that. I’m not tripping on that.

Erik Spoelstra on JJ Redick’s performance: This is what he’s here for. He’s a reliable shooter. He still has that touch. He came in and got us some good buckets and pushed our lead.

Erik Spoelstra on his team’s scoring: Everybody got on the board tonight. I don’t think we had anybody with less than four points. It was a good game. Type of game you like to see, everybody getting some minutes. Everybody making an impact.

Nate McMillan on scoring opportunities: They had a lot of turnovers tonight. A lot. Like 10 or 11. But we didn’t capitalize. We didn’t score a single basket off of all those Miami turnovers.
