Summary: Antonio Snow got his first NBA start tonight against the Sacramento Kings and while things seemed pretty choppy, he finished with a flourish. De’Aaron Fox came into this game after dropping 22 points in a 101-95 win over Washington two nights prior. Fans were ready to see a showdown and they did not disappoint. It looked as though he and Snow were matching each other nearly shot for shot the entire game. By halftime, Fox had 12 points while Snow had 11.

The entire Heat squad seemed to go cold in the third quarter, allowing Sacramento to build up a five point lead to end the fourth quarter. Snow only had one point, but he continued to drop dimes to keep his team in it. Justise Winslow had a big second half scoring all 12 of his points then. Miami finally tied the game at 69 early in the fourth quarter and the game remained tight until Snow’s last second layup to take the win.

Antonio Snow on hitting the game winner: It feels good. Feels great. I live for moments like this. My teammates put me in a position to hit that shot, I didn’t wanna let them down. I had to hit that layup. Props to the team for keeping me in it.

Erick Spoelstra on a close win: These guys played until the buzzer sounded tonight. They could have folded when the game started to get away from them in the fourth quarter, but they didn’t. They fought tooth and nail for this win and they got it.

De’Aaron Fox on the close loss: There were of course a few things that we could have done differently. We didn’t capitalize on turnovers like we should have. We’re gonna look at the film, see where we could change some things up for next time. It was anyone’s game tonight.
