Can't Ban the Snowman: The Legend of Tony Snow
NOTES & QUOTES
Heat Starting Five: Antonio Snow, Terrence Ross, Josh Richardson, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Hassan Whiteside
Summary: Miami walked away with a blowout against San Antonio. DeMar DeRozan gave as much as he could to his team as he led all in scoring with 26 points. Unfortunately the support wasn’t there as he and Dejounte Murray were the only players in double-digit scoring for the Spurs. Despite a lack of production on the scoring end from Hassan Whiteside, the Heat still came away with a huge victory. Rookie Bol Bol got his first minutes of his career, scoring 9 points in an easy victory for Miami.
Antonio Snow on the effect Bam Adebayo had on the game: That’s the Power of Bam that y’all just witnessed. He is a difference maker. He came in and just grabbed a double-double no problem. Power of Bam.
Erik Spoelstra on post play in the win: San Antonio is a team with a lot of length, and we are a team that likes to score on the inside, so we have to figure out how to draw their big men away from the paint a little bit.
Bam Adebayo’s thoughts on rookie Bol Bol’s first game: He played well. He came in and did his thing. He told me he was a little nervous earlier, but he didn’t show it. Contributed to the win.

Can't Ban the Snowman: The Legend of Tony Snow
NOTES & QUOTES
Heat Starting Five: Antonio Snow, Terrence Ross, Josh Richardson, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Hassan Whiteside
Summary: Detroit couldn’t have had a better start against the Miami Heat. Blake Griffin and Isaiah Thomas had combined for 18 of Detroit’s 25 first quarter points. Antonio Snow was off to a slow start as he tried to get his teammates involved before he found himself attacking on defense, starting with a huge dunk over Thon Maker in the second quarter as the Heat took their first lead. Miami changed tactics in the second half and started to lean toward the outside scoring, draining long jumpers and three point shots to create some space in the paint. Once the inside opened up, Miami went on the attack. The Heat went to the free throw line more in the third quarter—11 attempts—than in the entire first half—5 attempts.
Erik Spoelstra on Antonio Snow’s performance: It’s almost something we’ve come to expect at this point. He just sees what needs to be done. Whether it’s a big energizing play, key assists, or just scoring at will. He doesn’t do just one thing.
Antonio Snow on Hassan Whiteside’s performance: We just have to continue to believe in each other. He had an off night. We have off nights. Nothing new. But I still have to get my guy his touches. He has to know that I believe in him. No matter what.

Holding Spurs just to 70? Know that couldn't have been easy
A little bump in the road with that L, but still a bang up job going 9-2

DeRozan was making me nervous. Rest of the squad wasn't stepping up though

I feel you. Give DeMar 2 points and he'll take 20 in a blinkchosenone58 wrote: ↑24 Oct 2021, 01:48DeRozan was making me nervous. Rest of the squad wasn't stepping up though
