My pleasure. That team is too big and too good. We had a terrible night shooting the 3-ball, but we got a few key 3's to drop and those were what we needed to elevate us.

I've missed the past few Live releases, what's got you liking Live 19?

Thoroughly spanked by Charlotte, but Derrick Rose is in MVP form. Must be so nice to play with him.

Short answer - Copped it for $30

Long answer - It's a step forward in the right direction, but too small of strides taken since it's first release on the PS4. Still got that bare bone content, but not as bare as the last two priors. Gameplay flow and pacing is different from 2K, you can actually see the AI trying to run plays and bait your defense. Still a bit cartoony on the mechanics end, but nothing to riff about. Franchise mode front office is still ass, you can get like 2-3 picks for the likes of Thaddeus Young, but that's to your discretion. But I mainly got Live for it's "The One" mode. I much rather playing in different semi-authentic parks than playing in one neighborhood all year long. Plus no micro transactions is a big plus (except for ultimate team). Everything is basically earned and unlocked as a real game with rewards should be.

Season still early, but still gotta nip that. I'm loving how Rose is playing for us right now. Compared to quick play with the Bulls, squad is much better with more explosive offense that DR1 brings.

Tough losses with the sim. Btw is The One online as cheesy as 2ks?

Honestly, to me, I can't say for sure. If cheesy to exposing mechanics (dribble, layup sets, etc) to your advantage, then that's an iffy given how canon "SOME" inside play (both off and def) are. You can tell an automatic block or score if you see it enough.

For example: On Live, you're more likely to run a canon layup off the baseline. 9/10, you'll make it. It's rare you miss unless you get blocked and I've got my dunks and layups blocked plenty against AI and players. Not to say I'm trash, it's just no currency to upgrade attributes, you gotta earn skill points by leveling up your icon meter.

Around the perimeter and mid-range game is all skill. No getting around that. Guys who run with high 90 rated players make it look easy cause they're actually that good unlike 2Kers who build "demigods". I've played both PG and wing and I've found my experiences to be the same on and off ball. Ain't no chucking in Live for sure. You'll never green light on guarded shots, never.
