Racing Louisville Celebrates 2nd Straight NWSL Title with Downtown Parade



Louisville, Ky. — Racing Louisville FC brought the party home Sunday as thousands packed the streets near the Ali Center and KFC Yum! Center to celebrate the club’s 2027 NWSL Championship.

Fresh off a 2–1 win over the Kansas City Current — with goals from Lily Yohannes and Sophia Kleinherne — the team rolled through downtown on purple floats, greeted by chants and cheers from a city that’s fully embraced its champions.

“Louisville’s heart beats for this team,” head coach Filipa Patão told fans. “We felt that love all season & the team is more than happy to bring their second straight championship to these fans.”

The celebration capped a historic year as Racing secured its second title under Patão, cementing the club’s place among the league’s elite.
