The Dynasty Reloads: Racing Louisville Makes Major Moves as Four-Peat Ambitions Begin
Louisville, KY – With the confetti still fresh from a historic three-peat, Racing Louisville FC is wasting no time securing its future—and sending a message to the rest of the NWSL: this dynasty is far from finished.
In a summer window full of bold decisions and long-term vision, Racing made headlines by locking in key pieces of its title-winning core, adding international firepower, and showcasing the strength of its youth academy pipeline—all with eyes firmly set on a fourth consecutive championship. At the center of it all was the marquee addition of German international Jule Brand, who joins the club from Dijon FCO in France. The 26-year-old winger brings pace, sharp one-v-one ability, and dynamic attacking instincts that perfectly complement Racing’s already-lethal front line.

“This is the right place for my next step,” Brand said following her signing. “This team wins with style and substance, and I want to be part of that.”
Brand is expected to slot in alongside Savannah DeMelo and Alisha Lehmann, forming a front trio that could terrorize defenses across the league. DeMelo, a midfield maestro, has signed a three-year extension worth $10,200 per week recently with Racing Louisville.
Goalkeeper Regina van Eijk, fresh off her heroics in the semifinal penalty shootout win over Kansas City, was also rewarded with a three-year extension of her own at $3,200 per week.
“Savannah and Regina are winners,” said head coach Filipa Patão. “They give us a foundation to build around. And now, with Jule joining, we’re adding even more ambition and versatility to this squad.”
Beyond headline signings, Racing continued flexing its developmental strength.
The club finalized the sale of 18-year-old right back Akari Nakajima to SGS Essen in Germany for $23,000, while 17-year-old goalkeeper Lisa Williams was transferred to Dijon FCO—Brand’s former club—for $22,000.
“These are the signs of a healthy system,” said technical director Andre Allen. “We’re developing talent, moving players on when it’s right for their growth, and maintaining a first team that’s hungry and deep.”
The moves follow a dominant playoff campaign that saw Racing defeat North Carolina Courage 1–0 behind a Lehmann strike, edge Kansas City Current in a 2–2 extra-time thriller capped by Taylor Flint’s 119th-minute equalizer and a 3–1 penalty shootout win, and then steamroll the Washington Spirit 4–0 in the final. Erëleta Memeti, Savannah DeMelo, and Alisha Lehmann, all scored in a performance that cemented the club’s place in league history.
Now, as Racing Louisville reloads for the 2029 season, the message is clear: the hunger hasn’t faded.
“This isn’t just about defending a title,” said Patão. “It’s about building something that lasts. And with this squad—we’re just getting started.”
