I know you don't know anything about soccer but Sheffield United finished 3rd last season, losing in the promotion playoff and were predicted to finish 2nd-5th this season. The two teams above them are now in the Premier League.

Also, there are 38 matches left to play in the season or the equivalent of saying a NFL chise is unrealistic because a team is leading the conference at 2-0.
