Paris FC Announce New Ownership Arrangements


Pierre Ferracci has sold a majority of his controlling interest in Paris FC to a fan-lead group

Paris, France – Today, after several months of contentious discussions, Pierre Ferracci has sold a controlling share in Paris FC to a group of local fan organizations bankrolled by a combination of crowdfunding, local NGOs, and anonymous donors. The groups investigated pooling their resources together in order to gain a controlling share in the team after particularly fierce discussion regarding the City of Paris’ subsidy to the club over the fear that the club could be used for “sportswashing” after Ferracci sold a 20% share in the club to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Sources say that the French group purchased a 51% share in the club for a fee reported to be between €10-15 million and committed to an additional investment into needed renovations to Stade Charléty. The club has appointed an enigmatic and enthusiastic chairman simply known as Jean Dupont to preside over day-to-day matters. Due to this significant long-term investment, the new owners will be strapped for cash in the short-term and looking to rely on the Paris FC academy to be the source of the club’s players and profit. Sources suggest that this may lead to a mass exodus of existing Paris FC players in order to stabilize the club’s immediate financial situation.

The new controlling owners have already made the move to sack former manager Rene Girard and will be announcing their new manager within the next couple of days as the team prepares for the upcoming Ligue 2 season.

Paris FC Hire Jimmy Modeste as manager


Jimmy Modeste is returning to Paris FC in a managerial capacity

Paris, France – Paris FC have wasted no time in hiring their new manager, former Blues player Jimmy Modeste. Modeste has been slowly but surely working his way up the French pyramid as part of Vincent Bordot's coaching staff. His most recent stop was at fellow Parisian club Red Star FC as an assistant coach. The former Cape Verdean international has yet to be the primary manager for a club, but the PFC board felt very confident in his suitability for the job. As a product of the very academy and club he is tasked with building up, Modeste just might be the right coach for the herculean task of building a team in the shadow of PSG.

Modeste's more immediate concerns, however, are much more fundamental. This Paris FC team is going to be starting from the ground up and they need to find an identity quickly as the upcoming season approaches
