Southampton Sign Rodrigo and Lucas Moura To Bolster Injured Squad
Southampton FC have completed two transfer deals, bringing in striker Rodrigo from Leeds United for a fee of £7.5 million and winger Lucas Moura from Tottenham for £13 million.
Rodrigo, who has scored 9 goals and provided 3 assists in 23 appearances in all competitions this season, is expected to bolster Southampton's attacking options and complement striker Che Adams. The Spanish international has impressed this season in the Premier League with Leeds United and Southampton will be hoping he can replicate that form in the second half of the season.
Lucas Moura, who previously played under Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham, has 1 goal and 1 assist in 5 appearances in all competitions this season. The Brazilian winger is known for his pace, skill, and ability to score goals from a wide position. His arrival is expected to provide a significant boost to Southampton's attacking options, especially with the injury to winger Stuart Armstrong.
