Several Players Exit Manchester United

Image
Ander Herrera headlined a list of 5 players who will be leaving Manchester United as a result of deals agreed last season. The Spaniard, who led the team and league in assists last year with 13 in the league and 17 in all competitions, heads to Bayern Munich on a £38M fee. Victor Lindelof, who was displaced from the starting XI by Alessio Romagnoli and Eric Bailly, will also go to Germany, joining Bayer Leverkusen for £33.5M. United have also decided to move on from 30 year old Nemanja Matic, sending him to PSG for £17.1M.

Additionally, two youngsters will go out on loan. 18 year old deep-lying playmaker, James Garner will spend the 2019-20 season with SD Huesca, and last year's only academy promotion, 18 year old left midfielder, Cameron Rose, will join FC Basel for the year.

United are expected to sell or loan out more players before the summer window closes, in addition to bringing in reinforcements in key areas as they prepare to challenge for the Champions League this season.

Manchester United Sell Fred to Arsenal

Image
Manchester United have agreed to sell Fred to Arsenal for a £32M fee. The midfielder wasn't a strong performer for the team last season, and with the club looking to transition to a 4-2-3-1, there may no longer be a role for him in the side. United take a loss here on their initial transfer of over 50M, but this should provide some further funds to add top quality players to the team this summer.

Tahith Chong Leaves Manchester United for Juventus

Image
Manchester United had been keen to loan out Tahith Chong again this season after a loan spell last year. They felt he was not quite ready for the first team. However, Chong wants to play top flight football, and as a result, he refused to be loaned out. Juventus, in a similar fashion to what they did with Pogba in 2012, reached out to the player and assured him of playing time in their setup. A small fee of just £1.5M was paid to the Red Devils in exchange for the young starlet.

Thanks man, was great to pick up those two trophies and we want to go for the CL next year. I'm moving to a 4-2-3-1 system to be more defensively solid, so likely will need a CAM, CDM and other reinforcements in midfield. Actually about to post my first signing of the summer in a second here.

And yeah the table was fucking weird. Everton were 1st for like half the season.

Manchester United Make Wilfred Ndidi their First Summer Signing

Image
With Nemanja Matic leaving for Paris, and Scott McTominay not quite ready to step in as the full-time first-choice CDM, Manchester United had to look elsewhere for a world class #6. Their first choice was actually William Carvalho, but after he demanded an excessive wage, they were forced to look at other transfer options. Enter WIlfred Ndidi, 22-year-old Nigerian central defensive midfielder from Leicester. He possesses pace, strength, skill and a relentless work rate that has drawn comparisons to N'Golo Kante. United paid Leicester a reasonable £31,800,000 for his services, and he is expected to immediately be first choice for them this season.

Paris St. Germain Sign Thomas Meunier Back from Manchester United

Image
Manchester United have pulled off a bit of a heist here. After buying Meunier for just £24M last season, the right-back had a superb season for the Red Devils and has played his way into being one of the most valuable right-backs in the world. PSG missed what he offered them in that position, and have decided to bring him back for a fee in excess of £48 million. United feel Diogo Dalot is ready to slot right in at right back and with Timothy Fosu-Mensah returning from loan and Ethan Laird also in the squad, they have depth in behind the Portuguese starlet.
