William Carvalho wins August Player of the Month
Seville, Spain -- In a league stacked with talent the Real Betis' William Carvalho takes home the La Liga Player of the Month Award for August. Carvalho did a great job containing the FC Barcelona attack in a match earlier in the month. He also was instrumental in the victory over CD Leganes for the first victory of the season for Real Betis. Carvalho has 1 goal and 1 clean sheet in 3 appearances with an average rating of 8.1.

Iglesias out with sprained knee
Seville, Spain -- Borja Iglesias has been ruled out after suffering a sprained knee in the match against Getafe CF. Iglesias suffered the injury early in the match and even added a goal in the 17th minute. However, he was taken off shortly after scoring his goal so that he could be evaluated for this injury.
Iglesias will be replaced by Loren in the starting lineup. Loren has 3 appearances this season without any goals or assists. He will need to start having better games if he wants to match the production of Iglesias, who has 2 goals and 1 assist in 4 appearances.
Real Betis heads into a tough week where they play 3 games in 7 days. The first against Osasuna, the second 3 days later against Levante and the last against Villarreal CF.
