Meh finish to the season, hopefully do better next year.

The problem you're having with Cardiff is why I never chised with Swansea despite wanting to. Damn game doesn't let you send youth scouts to Wales.

You hit the nail on the head. It's extremely annoying that you can't do that. So I'm basically stuck scouting players around the world that are Welsh.

Thanks for the comment.

Team Awards

Player of the Season
CB Souleymane Bamba: 38 appearances, 8 clean sheets, 7.50 rating
Bamba was the rock of our defense this year. He won a countless amount of headers in the box that aren't shown in FIFA stats, and intercepted a ton of balls as well. The 35 year old's contract is set to expire and I will probably sign him for a one year deal if he is willing to stay. He was the captain when on the pitch and really was the heart and soul of this team when it came down to crunch time.

Young Player of the Season
LB Ben Williams: 18 appearances, 1 assist, 6.20 rating
The PFA defines this as a player under the age of 23. Surprisingly I only had one player on the squad who met this criteria. That was left back Ben Williams. So be default he wins this team award. However, that is not to diminish his performance. Williams played well after being brought in during the winter transfer window. He also fits into the club philosophy of playing Welsh players. Williams will see playing time in a back up role as he is stuck behind Player of the Season runner-up Joe Bennett. I think that if he stays with the club long enough he will probably get the starting job.

Golden Boot
ST Robert Glatzel: 35 appearances, 17 goals, 5 assists, 7.10 rating
Glatzel had an incredible season for us and that doesn't even consider the fact that he he missed the last two or so months with a broken toe. His numbers should have been higher but that doesn't take away from the great season he had. The next closest goal scorer to him was 6 goals behind on the team. He also finished 11th in the league for goals, 6 goals back of 5th place but 5th place played 15 more matches than him. I think if we could have gotten more matches out of him we could have seen a spectacular season from Glatzel.

Playmaker of the Season
CDM Joe Ralls: 41 appearances, 6 goals, 7 assists, 2 yellow cards, 7.40 rating
CDM Marlon Pack: 42 appearances, 7 assists, 3 yellow cards, 1 red card, 7.40 rating

This award goes to the player with the most assists on the team. This year we had a tie. It might be strange for a CDM to have the most assists but both of these players have CM as a secondary position and spent a good portion of the season in a 4-3-3 formation playing CM. They finished 23rd and 20th respectively in the league assist rankings. I don't know how they delineate how one player ends up ahead of the other with the same number, maybe who reaches it first? Anyways, both of these guys had a great impact on the season and we hope they don't get poached during the summer window.

Fan Favorite
ST Robert Glatzel: 35 appearances, 17 goals, 5 assists, 7.10 rating
This award goes to the fan's favorite player. How do I determine this? Well in FIFA you can see who are the highest selling shirts and that's how I determine it. It doesn't say by how much but Glatzel was first on the list so he is obviously the fan favorite. I don't know how much further ahead is of second place Callum Paterson but another award for our main striker.
