Helder Costa Sold to Crystal Palace

Image
Wolves have let another club mainstay go. This time, right-winger Helder Costa departs for Crystal Palace for a £11.8M fee. Costa has been a good servant to the club but has been relatively unproductive over the last three years. They feel it's time to bring in some younger blood to elevate the side.

Wolves Promote Academy Prospect Hugh Clarke

The transfer window has arrived and Thomas Partey has officially left the club for Manchester City. With a hole in the rotation at CDM, Wolves have called up one of their brightest academy prospects, Hugh Clarke, to fill in. He will get some playing time behind new first-choice CDM, Declan Rice.

Wolves Land Hector Bellerin in Swap Deal

Image
Wolves have made yet another swap deal, this time sending Joao Cancelo, bought this summer from Juventus, off to Monaco in exchange for Hector Bellerin. The younger and more attacking Bellerin at 25-years-old is seen as a better short and long-term fit for the club at right-back. Along with Cancelo, Wolves have sent a nominal processing fee of £2M and will pay Bellerin £73K per week. It's reported that Cancelo being the top wage earner at the club had caused a rift with some of the team's top players, but now with Bellerin entering at a much lower salary, the club's wage structure is restored.
