Match #1: One on One | Chyna vs. Molly Holly | WWE Women's Championship
Chyna may be the 9th Wonder of the World, but Molly Holly has shown in her time as championship that she's more than capable of standing up to any challenge, including Chyna. That proved true as this match started with both superstars trading equal offense. Molly would be the first one to land a major shot, hitting a Northern Lights Suplex and bridging it into a pin, but Chyna was able to get her feet on the ropes. But then momentum started to swing the other way. Chyna whipped Molly into the ropes and then popped her up into the air, caught her and hit her with a pedigree. It looked like it was all over but Holly kicked out at the last second. When things got going again, Molly toss Chyna out of the ring and went after her but Chyna whipped her into the steel steps for major damage before they both re-entered the ring. Molly hit a powerbomb on Chyna but she kicked out. She didn't stop there and followed up with a spinebuster but still couldn't keep Chyna down for more than two. Then frustration started to set in for the champion and it cost her. She wasted too much time sulking, and by the time she turned around, Chyna was back up and hit her with a spear. She followed that up with her second pedigree of the contest to put Molly Holly down for the three count and regain the Women's Championship.
Winner: Chyna by pinfall.

Match #2: One on One Last Man Standing | John Cena vs. Bobby Lashley | WWE United States Championship
These two don't know how to behave. As Cena came out for his entrance, Lashley rushed him behind with a kendo stick, igniting a brawl. Before it could escalate further, Vince McMahon came out and put a stop to things and told them, "Enough is enough dammit! You two are going to settle this right now, once and for all. Not only is this match for the United States Championship, but it will be a LAST MAN STANDING match! One of you walks out alive and this feud is over! Ring the damn bell!" Lashley immediately took advantage, blasting Cena with the kendo stick before sending him tumbling to the concrete on the side of the ramp. He hit a suplex on Cena on the concrete and Cena barely got up before the 10 count, standing to his feet at 8 seconds. The match continued outside the ring with Lashley's brute strength being way too much for the challenger, but Cena repeatedly getting up before 10. Lashley got frustrated and decided to take the action to the ring. He blasted Cena over the head with a chair, bloodying him before hitting a spear. Cena got up at 9. Lashley hit another spear... Cena got up at 9 again. After the third spear, Cena was just about to make it to his feet again before the 10 count when Lashley lost it. He was about to grab the chair to hit Cena before he could stand but the referee stopped him. Cena pulled some knuckles out of his pocket while both men were distracted and once the ref was out of the way, busted Lashley wide open with a brass knuckles shot. He then picked Lashley up and delivered the F-U twice to the champion, leaving him almost comatose in the center of the ring. The referee counted to 10 as Cena came up with the surprising victory and became the new United States Champion.
Winner: John Cena by knockout.

Match #3: One on One No Holds Barred | Steve Austin vs. Randy Orton | WWE Intercontinental Championship
Prior to the show, Vince McMahon had announced that the IC title match between Austin and Orton would be No Holds Barred, anything goes. It looked like the format might favour Austin at first, but Orton had the smarts to outwit the brawler. Austin cleared the tables and picked Orton up onto them getting ready to slam him through, but Orton countered and delivered an RKO, putting the Stone Cold through the table. However, in a No Holds Barred match you still have to get the pin inside the ring and the time it took to get Austin back in gave him just enough room to recover and kick out. The match continued, and Austin started to gain the upper hand over the champion, eventually hitting a stunner. But the wily Orton rolled out of the ring before he could be pinned, frustrating Austin. When they both came back into the ring, Orton hit a low blow, dropping Stone Cold to his knees. Then Orton started to line up Austin for the Punt Kick, a move that could and possibly would end Austin's career. He looked like he might connect but just at the last second Austin ducked out of the way and tripped up Randy. When Randy got to his feet, Austin kicked HIM in the stomach and threw up two middle fingers before hitting a Stone Cold Stunner in the center of the ring. Austin was about to go for the pin, but before he could Batista, Ric Flair and Triple H rushed the ring. They beat the hell out of Austin triggering a DQ call from the ref. When Orton rose to his feet, they all took turns hitting Austin with their signature moves before standing tall above him hand in hand. It looks like Evolution has reunited.
Winner: Steve Austin by DQ.

Match #4: One on One | Hollywood Hogan w/ nWo vs. Goldberg | World Heavyweight Championship
Goldberg came out to the ring and grabbed the mic. He hadn't had a match officially booked for Survivor Series, but he felt that it was wrong for the champion to not defend his belt at the pay-per-view and challenged anyone from the locker room to come down and face him. nWo's music started blaring from the speakers as Hollywood Hogan emerged on the stage. Hogan smiled and said, "Anyone? Ok then, why not me? I'll take that title off your hands for you brother." Goldberg obliged and beckoned for Hogan to come to the ring. As he was in his stance though, Scott Hall attacked him from behind and threw him into Kevin Nash who delivered a Jackknife Powerbomb before the referee kicked both of them out of the ring. A badly hurt Goldberg was asked by the ref if he was ok to continue, and being a fighting champion, he gritted through the pain and said yes. As if the cheating he had done already wasn't enough, Hogan "accidentally" took out the ref shortly into the matchup before whacking Goldberg over the head with a chair while the ref was incapacitated. When he came to, Hogan hit a big boot on Goldberg before hitting his signature leg drop but the champion kicked out at two. At that point Goldberg simply had nothing left, he tried to mount some offense but was too damaged and Hogan counter. A series of elbows to the head and then another leg drop took what little Goldberg had left and Hogan rolled him up for three to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Hogan took the title and spray-painted the trademark nWo lettering on it with black paint and then for no good reason started stomping out Goldberg. The crowd erupted into boos at how badly Goldberg had been screwed as the nWo stood over his corpse, holders of the World Heavyweight AND Tag Team titles.
Winner: Hollywood Hogan by pinfall.

Main Event: 8-Man Elimination Tag | Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian vs. Mark Henry & Booker T & Shelton Benjamin & Brock Lesnar
Team Henry avoided using Lesnar early, tagging in the rest of the team to compete as they rotated in and out. But eventually, Shelton tagged in Brock. Team Christian had a plan though, Christian lured Brock to the corner and tagged in Edge while eating a huge clothesline from Brock. Edge attacked Brock from behind and then tagged in Matt Hardy and they managed to keep Lesnar pinned in their corner for a long period, rotating their four superstars to prevent him from getting any offense in. They slowly wore down Lesnar and when Matt Hardy hit a Twist of Fate on Brock off the top rope, it looked like they might have the elimination but The Beast kicked out at two. Before he could be subject to more quadruple-teaming, Brock wisely tagged in Shelton and rolled out of the ring. The match continued and Team Henry continued to bide time while Lesnar recovered. When he eventually did he tagged back in and went to work, eliminating Matt Hardy with an F-5 while the rest of Team Henry occupied Team Christian outside the ring to disrupt their strategy. But he wouldn't continue his run. Jeff Hardy came flying in as soon as his brother was eliminated off the top rope and hit a Swanton Bomb on Lesnar followed up by a Twist of Fate to get the shock elimination. Both teams were now down to three apiece with Lesnar out of the game. Mark Henry tagged in next and Jeff leapt on him, taking him down quickly. But when Jeff went for the Swanton Bomb like he had on Lesnar, Henry got his knees up and then picked up Jeff to pin him after a World's Strongest Slam. Henry celebrated but perhaps too early as by the time he refocused, Edge was running at him full speed with a Spear. Henry couldn't kick out of that as he became the first team captain to be eliminated. With Edge & Christian and Benjamin and Booker left, we were now down to two on each side. Shelton came in next, going blow for blow with Edge. The Rated-R superstar gained the upper hand though and lined up Benjamin for his second consecutive Spear. However, Benjamin showed incredible athleticism to jump over a bewildered Edge, who was on the receiving end of an Exploder Suplex and a pinfall by the time he realized what had happened. With Team Christian down to just Christian, Benjamin and Booker smiled, realizing they could taste victory. The arrogance proved costly though. Benjamin tagged in Booker who then did a lot of showboating while tossing Christian about the ring, giving him way too much time to recover after each blow. Eventually, when Booker went for the Book End, Christian countered it into a Killswitch to pin the former King of the Ring. But before he could even react, Benjamin was right back into the ring and hit a Jumping Complete Shot to pin Christian and pick up the win for himself and Team Henry at Survivor Series.
Winners: Team Henry by elimination.

WWE Signs New TV Deals with USA and Fox Sports

Image
HARTFORD, CT --- WWE has agreed to a pair of TV deals worth a combined $250 million to broadcast its programming on Fox Sports and USA Networks. This is part of Vince McMahon's plan to increase viewership and the company's exposure to a wider fanbase across different channels and multiple days in a week. Instead of just broadcasting RAW on Monday Nights, WWE intends to broadcast three shows a week. There will be no brand split however, all superstars will have the potential to appear on all three shows. RAW is WAR will come on Monday Nights on the USA Network, Smackdown! will come on Thursday Nights on Fox Sports and lastly, a brand new show, Velocity will make its appearance on the Fox Sports network on Saturday nights. Velocity will be geared more towards giving talent near the bottom of the card a chance to shine. WWE also plans to reintroduce the Hardcore Championship and make it one of the showcased titles for that show.

With the influx of TV money, WWE has also made some new signings as well as some changes to its roster. Hollywood Hulk Hogan recently won the World Heavyweight Championship, but after winning announced his shock retirement from the WWE. The title will be retired along with him and replaced with an Undisputed WWE Championship, set to be awarded through an undisclosed format in the coming weeks. Chyna, the Women's Champion, has also decided to leave the company, leaving the Women's Championship vacant and up for grabs for the rest of the roster. In addition to these departures, however, WWE has signed several superstars. Chris Jericho makes his return to the roster alongside Mr.Perfect, Big Boss Man, Diamond Dallas Page, Rhyno, Rikishi, Goldust, R-Truth and female superstars Ivory and Jacqueline. Additionally, indy-star, Bryan Danielson has been signed to a permanent WWE contract.

These changes signal a fresh look and new direction for WWE going forwards, as not just a wrestling show but the premiere hub for sports entertainment on television.
