UFC 601: (37-16-0) Jorge Masvidal vs. Jermall Jimenez (12-1-0)
Welterweight Championship Bout, Main Event: Mar. 21, 2054 - T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, NV

Image

The Las Vegas crowd was ready for the main event after 3 of the previous 4 bouts ended in knockouts.

Image

Jimenez dropped Masvidal with this powerful left-handed hook in the first round.

Image

An awkward leg kick from Masvidal buckled the knee of Jermall, resulting in a torn meniscus in his left knee during the third round.

Image

With his meniscus torn, Jermall Jimenez knew he had to earn the knockout finish against the champion; & that's exactly what he did.

Yeah that was really clutch. Once that injury happened I knew I had to hurry up & close the fight before I ended up getting cooked myself. Luckily we KO'd Masvidal in no time.
