NXT MATCH
——————————————————————————————
Earlier in the show, Jeff Hardy announced that he would cash in on his Money in the Bank contract on Roman Reigns. He noted that it may not be the smartest decision, but emphasized his career was made on taking chances and looked to do just that tonight.
In a match, scheduled for one fall, Roman Reigns took care of Happy Corbin. They've been going back and forth for a couple weeks, and as much as Happy Corbin steps up the plate, the Head of the Table, Roman Reigns looked real preem in every match.
Jeff Hardy music hits and the crowd goes into a pop frenzy as one-half of Team X-treme looked to cash in. Jeff darts to the ring and begins whaling on Roman to keep him down on the mat. After the cash-in was announced, Hardy makes his way to Roman and was met with a Superman Punch out of nowhere. The complexion of the title match had changed in just one punch, but the fight wouldn't end there. After Jeff side-stepping a spear, the two go at it, exchanging offense. Jeff Hardy would eventually seized the moment with a Twist of Fate, only to be countered into another Superman Punch, followed up with a spear.
With another three-count victory, Roman Reigns once again established his dominance over NXT.
[Suddenly, Jay Pierce's music hits]
Vic: Just when you think it's over, the chaos here keeps turning up!
Barrett: Oh, what's he doing out here? Don't tell me he's going to step up to our Tribal Chief, too.
Vic: Seems like it. Jay Pierce has been on a roll lately, and said until he gets some gold around his waist, he's going to run through all of the competition.
Barrett: Well, bad news for him, the buck stops here at the head of the table.
Jay Pierce steps into the ring, sizing up Roman Reigns without a word. After two matches, the heavy-breathing champion steps forward with intensity in his eyes as the tension builds between them.
Azrael quickly comes out to Jay Pierce, trying to talk some sense into him, pleading for him to back down from this challenge.
Vic: Looks like Azrael is trying to play peace keeper between Pierce and Reigns.
Barrett: He's gonna need more than a peace keeper, these two are already looking to be on a head-on collision sometime in the near future. Jay Pierce just stuck his nose in the Tribal Chief's face and he doesn't take too kindly to that.
Not hearing a word what Azrael has to say, Jay Pierces shoves Azrael aside, stepping forward. With the crowd full on behind Reigns, Roman raises his title for all to see, especially Jay Pierce...
