The great thing about wrestling chises is that no matter what weird shit happens in the game you can play it off.

Tuesday Throwdown #6
Week 3, June 2021

The show began with Mr. Van Cise on the stage as soon as the opening Pyro ended.

"I have a big announcement for you all tonight." He boasted.

"Actually, it's a huge announcement. Throwdown will be presenting our very first pay per view!"

The crowd popped and Van Cise continued.

"The main event at the pay per view will be a match for the Throwdown Championship belt. The competitors in that match will be determined by an eight man tournament that starts here, tonight on Throwdown."

Van Cise then pointed to the screen behind him and revealed the following match card:

Match Card
3 Dagger vs 6 Captain Jack
4 Mr. Grimm vs 5 KING T'NE
2 Dynamite vs 7 Drake Travis
1 Xixak vs 8 D-Tribe

"Alright, let's get to it!" Van Cise left the stage and Dagger's music hit.

Match One
Dagger vs Captain Jack (Championship Tournament Round One)

Dagger attacked Captain Jack early, getting a pair of two counts before Captain Jack turned the tables quickly and scored the win after a moonsault and a jumping suplex pin, much to Dagger's chagrin.

Winner: Captain Jack via pinfall

Match Two
Mr. Grimm vs KING T'NE (Championship Tournament Round One)

Mr. Grimm's music hit and nothing happened. Then KING T'NE's music hit and still, nothing happened. Eventually Mr. Van Cise and Braden Wayne made their way to the stage and Van Cise called out both wrestler's, telling them they had thirty seconds to get to the ring or they would forfeit their spots in the tournament. Still nothing.

"The show must go on!" Van Cise shouted angrily. "Next match!"

Winner: No Contest

Match Three
Dynamite vs Drake Travis (Championship Tournament Round One)

In what turned out to be another quick match Dynamite used his size and power advantage to take it to Drake Travis early and often, hitting the patriot with a barrage of punches and kicks before scoring a less than honest victory with his feet on the second rope during the three count. Despite the clear disdain toward Drake Travis the fans were not impressed with Dynamite's tactics, could the fan favorite be taking a turn?

Winner: Dynamite via pinfall

Match Four
Xixak vs D-Tribe (Championship Tournament Round One)

With a subpar show this far fans were hoping for a strong final match between Xixak, widely regarded as the top talent on Throwdown, taking on the scrappy D-Tribe, who had gotten credit for a big win in a table match two weeks ago. The pair know each other well, having teamed up last week to defeat Captain jack and Drake Travis.

Xixak had the early advantage until fought back with a combination of stomps and kicks on the downed Xixak. Xman countered and hit D-Tribe with a small package drive and went for a pin, getting a two count before D-Tribe kicked out. Xixak landed a number of punches to the head then hit a flying knee drop before more head punches and a big splash off the top rope. Another knee drop led to a one count for Xixak. D-Tribe then went on the offensive, hitting a salida del sol on Xixak then going for a pin and getting a long two count. Xixak then knocked D-Tribe off the top rope and hit him with a super kick, getting a two count of his own.

Xixak finally closed out the match with a schoolboy, superkick and a big stomp, securing the three count and moving onto the next round of the tournament. The crown, which had been somewhat mild through the first two matches, came alive during the man event and popped hard for Xixak as he secured the win.

Winner: Xixak
