Week 2, June 2021
The fifth episode of Throwdown opens with Mr. Van Cise, Braden Wayne and Brittany B all in an SUV. Wayne is driving while Van Cise is on the phone.
"So you'll be there? Tonight?" Van Cise asks with a look of high anticipation.
"That's awesome! We're so excited! The fans and other wrestlers won't know what hit them."
"Thank you again, we'll see you tonight."
Van Cise hangs up and pumps his fist. Brittany screams with delight.
"That's amazing Malcolm." Wayne says, shaking his head. "Who'd have thought we could pull someone like..."
The screen fades to black then transitions into the Throwdown opening sequence, after a few moments Van Cise and Wayne appear on the stage. Van Cise thanks the fans then begins.
"Once again we have a huge show for you! We're debuting more new talent!"
The crowd pops and Van Cise pauses.
"And tonight we have a theme. Every match is a tag match!"
"That's four matches, sixteen wrestlers!"
"First we have newcomers Loki Lightning and Tiffany Thunder against Brittany B and Isabella Ivy!"
"Next up..." Van Cise pauses and chuckles.
"Next up we have the Yamamotos against Mr. Grimm and Dagger."
The crowd reacts, obviously surprised at the pairing of two of the biggest rivals on Throwdown.
"Captain Jack and Drake Travis will face Xixak and D-Tribe."
"And finally..." Van Cise pauses for dramatic effect.
"Finally it's Dynamite and KING T'NE against myself and a special mystery guest, the biggest star we've every had here on Throwdown. Prepare to have your minds blown!"
Van Cise and Wayne exit the stage and the lights fade to black.
Match Card
Thunder & Lightning vs Brittany B and Isabella Ivy
Dagger and Mr Grimm vs the Yamamotos
Captain Jack and Drake Travis vs Xixak and D-Tribe
Mr Van Cise and mystery guest vs Dynamite and KING T'NE
Match One
Thunder & Lightning vs Brittany B and Isabella Ivy
Brittany B and Loki Lightning started the match and Brittany was having her way with Loki before a quick tag to Ivy and a little double team action.
Loki then went on the offensive against Ivy and hit an inverted suplex while Tiffany Thunder hit a big leg drop on Brittany on the apron.
Loki got Ivy in a submission hold but Brittany broke things up. Finally it was Tiffany Thunder's turn.
She used her size and strength advantage to get Brittany on the mat and looked to be going for a big move before Brittany lunged for Ivy on the tag.
Tiffany planted Ivy's face on the apron then tagged in Loki who hit a quick float over DDT on Ivy. Loki hit the small package driver and went for the pin but Brittany was there to break it up.
Once again Tiffany tossed Brittany out of the ring and hit another leg drop. A Hurracanrana by Ivy got a two count but Loki kicked out.
The match would continue back and forth, inside and outside of the ring until Brittany took down Tiffany then tagged in Ivy who went right to the swanton bomb and got the three count.
Winners: Brittany B and Isabella Ivy by pinfall
After the match was over the cameras cut to Mr. Van Cise and Dagger talking in the back.
"He's not coming?" Dagger asked. Van Cise shook his head.
"Screw it." Dagger said thumping his chest. "Make it a handicapped."
Match Two
Joey Dagger vs the Yamamatos
When Dagger was informed that Mr Grimm would not be joining him in the ring he elected to take on the Yamamotos solo. Grimm was apparently still sore about the odd ending to last week's table match and when he found out he was supposed to team up with Dagger he left.
Dagger took out his frustrations on Yuki, bloodying him less than a minute into the match with a barrage of punches to the face.
Akira tagged in briefly but once Yuri was back in Dagger went after him hard again, taking him down before dragging him into the far corner and going for a pin. Akira broke that up then tagged in.
The Yamamotos continued to tag in and out quickly, trying to tire Dagger who clearly had a strength advantage.
The Yamamotos picked up the win when Yuri was incredibly able to lock in a XXXXXXXXXXXX on Dagger who was forced to tap out.
Winners: The Yamamotos by submission
Match Three
Captain Jack and Drake Travis vs Xixak and D-Tribe
The match started off with Xixak taking it to Captain Jack before Xixak took a moment to gloat on the top rope. Captain jack then hit a snapmare and tagged in Drake Travis who went to work on the downed Xman.
Drake missed on a splash and Xixak turned the tables with a schoolboy into a superkick. Drake lunged for a take and Captain Jack hit a quick hurracanranna. Xixak then tagged in D-Tribe and rolled onto the apron.
D-Tribe tossed Captain Jack to the apron hit him with a pair of spinebusters.
Back in the ring D-Tribe got caught showboating and tossed out by Drake after a tag.
Both teams continued to tag back and forth, getting all four competitors involved.
Each team scored multiple two counts.
D-Tribe tossed Drake out over the top rope.
Another two count.
D-Tribe finally wrapped things up with a small package pin on Drake Travis while Xixak occupied Captain Jack on the apron.
Winners: Xixak and D-Tribe by pinfall
Once again the cameras cut to the back to show Mr. Van Cise throwing his phone to the floor and it smashing into multiple pieces.
A shocked Brittany B and Braden Wayne looked on.
"He's not coming!" Van Cise said furiously.
"We can't cancel the main event." Wayne said timidly.
Van Cise though for a second.
"You're right. Let's go!"
"Me?" Wayne replied incrediously.
"You heard me! Let's go!"
Match Four
Mr. Van Cise and Braden Wayne with Brittany B vs Dynamite and KING T'NE with Isabella Ivy
As Dynamite and KING T'NE were making their way to the ring Van Cise and Wayne could be seen chatting with the ref.
A strange match from the start as Dynamite and Braden Wayne started off in the ring.
Dynamite dominated Wayne as you'd expect, getting three separate two counts on him before Van Cise broke them up. Dynamite complained about slow counts on each occasion.
Eventually a visibly frustrated Dynamite tagged in KING T'NE and Wayne dragged himself over to tag in Van Cise.
Wayne composed himself and went after Dynamite while T'NE and Van Cise continued things inside the ring. T'NE tossed Van Cise out and followed him. The lights went out and when they came back on Van Cise was back in the ring and T'NE was nowhere to be found. The ref and Dynamite looked around in confusion before the ref counted a quick ten and declared Van Cise and Wayne the winners.
Winners: Mr. Van Cise and Braden Wayne by countout
