DuBois to defend title against Usman at UFC 290

From training partners to opponents, J.J. DuBois and Kamara Usman are scheduled to face in October as the main events of UFC 290 in what will be DuBois' first title defense since winning the UFC Welterweight Championship earlier this year against Jorge Masvidal.
Before winning the title, DuBois told the media that Usman, who lost the title to Masvidal, would get the first crack at it once Usman healed from the hand injury that he suffered in the loss to Masvidal.
Both fighters are based in South Florida and have trained together prior to DuBois training full time at American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, California and Usman training in Colorado with Trevor Whitman.
DuBois and Usman are considered to be among the best wrestlers to ever grace the octagon with DuBois' Olympic background and Usman's 100% takedown defense rate.
