PHILADELPHIA, PA --- ECW has returned to air after Paul Heyman bought out WCW's rights to grow the promotion into a serious potential contender and rival to the WWF. While ECW's World Heavyweight Championship, Television Championship and World Tag Team Championships will remain active with Rob Van Dam, Eddie Guerrero and the Dudley Boyz as the respective holders, Heyman plans to add a new championship to their suite of titles. The WCW Women's Classic Championship is set to be reintroduced with an eight-woman tournament taking place to crown the inaugural champion at Money in the Bank, ECW's first pay-per-view at the end of May. ECW have bought out a number of women's superstars from the WWF as well as signed some new ones from developmental territories to create a women's division that will launch a "Women's Revolution" in the wrestling industry. WWF legends Trish Stratus, Lita, Chyna and Jacqueline are set to compete in the tournament as the top four seeds with the pool being rounded out by younger upstarts Beth Phoenix, Stacy Keibler, Natalya Neidhart and Nikki Bella. The format for the tournament is simple, single elimination, with the quarter-finals taking place over the first two weeks of May, the semi-finals being played out in the last two weeks and the final as previously mentioned, being held at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. Below is the full bracket for the tournament to crown ECW's top female athlete.
