WWE Set to Return to Single Show after Failed Brand Split

HARTFORD, CT --- After a failed brand split that lasted just three weeks, WWE is set to return to a single show model to try to save face. Monday Night RAW has been awarded full ownership of the WWE roster. This single show model will feature five champions: Batista will reprise his role as the Undisputed WWE Champion, a title he won back at Survivor Series. Randy Orton will be awarded the Intercontinental Championship, having been the last holder before WWE's series of failed reboots, and similarly, John Cena will be awarded the United States Championship. The Brothers of Destruction, who last held the WWE Tag Team Championship, will see that title vacated and will be awarded RAW's World Tag Team Championship instead. The last remaining championship is the WWE Women's Champion. Former champion Jacqueline has left the company, so the six women left in the division: Chyna, Lita, Molly Holly, Stacy Keibler, Stephanie McMahon and Trish Stratus, will compete in a tournament for the vacant title, with the winner being crowned at Backlash at the end of May.
