Xixak and Scott Hall had another one on one match with their tag partners banned from ringside as a tune up before the PPV bout for the tag titles. This turned into a brawl quickly which Xixak thrived in, hitting a Spear on Hall on the outside before following that up with a Coup de Grace. He rolled him back into the ring but took a little too long so Hall was able to kick out at 2. The match continued and Hall eventually got Xixak up into the Outsider's Edge, but he slipped out of it and rolled out of the ring. Hall chased after him and Xixak ran a full circle before sliding back in under the ropes. Hall pursued but Xixak was ready for him and caught him with a swift kick to the head before hitting the reverse GTS to get the pinfall victory. He barely had time to celebrate though before Kevin Nash and... Kane of all people came out and started beating the hell out of him. X-Pac had actually listened to the rules and not shown up on Smackdown! but the nWo and Kane clearly didn't care and laid him out with each of their finishing moves before they were done with him.

nWo got a chance to get a measure of revenge on D-X in a non-title match with Hogan being allowed to help them and make it a handicap match. Xixak ended up outsmarting everyone though. When Hogan got tagged in, he took the action to the outside. It resulted in a brawl on the outside, but he was eventually able to hit the Reverse GTS on Hogan before running back into the ring. Hall and Nash couldn't get Hogan up and back into the ring before the count of 10, giving Xixak and X-Pac a count out victory against the odds.
