May Week 2 | Pensacola, FL
Undertaker got on the mic to start out the show and immediately called out Triple H and Evolution for their antics last week. He demanded a rematch with HHH to prove who the better man truly is after Flair interfered in their previous one, but Triple H refused.
Match #1: One on One Normal Match: Bubba Ray Dudley vs. Jeff Hardy
This was supposed to be a one on one bout between Bubba Ray and Jeff, but that wasn't the case. D-Von came out as Bubba's "manager" for the contest, and proceeded to get much more involved than any manager should. He held Jeff Hardy's feet as he tried to do a rope rebound move, allowing Bubba to knock him out and hit him with the cutter. Hardy kicked out, but later, D-Von would run more interference, this time distracting the referee allowing Bubba to hit Jeff with a steel chair for the 1, 2, 3. After the match, the Dudley Boyz tried to put Jeff through a table, but his brother Matt scrambled to ringside to make the save.
Winner: Bubba Ray Dudley by pinfall
Match #2: One on One Normal Match: Eddie Guerrero vs. Kane
Another valiant effort from Eddie Guerrero ends in a loss. The intercontinental champion was completely manhandled by Kane early on, to the point of even being chokeslammed through the announce table. After just beating a 10 count, Guerrero got back in the ring and rallied a little bit, but Kane was too much for him. A diving clothesline followed by another relentless chokeslam handed the win to the Big Red Machine. Eddie's claim to the title is looking shaky now with back to back losses to two of his top contenders in the last two weeks.
Winner Kane by Pinfall
Match #3: Two on Two Tag Team: nWo vs. Hart Foundation
The Hart Foundation bounced back from being attacked and losing last week, to pick up a big win over the nWo. Bret Hart and Jim were able to hit Scott Hall with the Hart Attack in order to pick up the victory.
Winners: Hart Foundation by pinfall
Show Closer Promo: Shelton Benjamin
Shelton called out Big Show and demanded answers for why he attacked him with a chair last week. Big Show said superstars "like Shelton" are ruining the industry and just parasites. Definitely some racial undertones to that statement and Shelton certainly didn't take kindly to them. He told Show that he's just scared of a brighter, younger, better looking star taking his spot... and his title. Big Show said if a title shot is what he wants, he can have one but not until the pay per view, IF he can make it there in two weeks.
Main Event: Two on Two Tag Team: Edge & Christian vs. The Rock & Rikishi
Edge and Christian looked on their way to a certain win. The former tag champs were able to isolate The Rock and wear him down, preventing from tagging in Rikishi. But eventually The Great One was just too great for them. He countered Edge with a series of moves, before hitting him with a spinebuster. And in a rare move for The Rock, he locked in a sharpshooter, forcing the Ultimate Opportunist to tap out to close out Smackdown!. Rikish looked a little frustrated by how little action he got in this match, but still shook hands with his partner, The Rock, after it was over.
Winners: The Rock & Rikishi
