Xixak received a difficult challenge after winning the Royal Rumble, being asked to face Kurt Angle, the WWE Champion, and The Undertaker in a triple threat match. The title wasn't on the line, but pride was and all three men looked hungry for a victory over the other. Late on in the contest, Xixak was able to hit an End of Days on Kurt Angle, but throughout the match each man had been breaking up pinfalls. To prevent Taker from doing this he hit a Corkscrew Springboard Dive to the outside taking Taker out of commission before coming back in the ring to get the pinfall victory over Angle in a very impressive performance.

Hogan and Guerrero targeted Xixak early, realizing they needed to take him out for either man to have a chance. They then focused on each other. Guerrero was starting to gain the upper hand and was about to hit Hogan with a Frog Splash but Xixak came back in and threw him off the apron. He turned his back to Hogan though and that proved to be a big mistake when the Hulkster got to his feet. By the time Xixak turned around he was eating a Big Boot to the face. Hogan then went for the Leg Drop but Xixak rolled out of the way just in time leaving Hogan to hurt himself. He quickly followed up with a Curb Stomp to knock Hogan out and win the match giving him some momentum heading into Wrestlemania. Or so he thought. Xixak was clubbed from behind by Angle after winning and then locked into the Ankle Lock and forced to tap out in the center of the ring before Kurt grabbed the microphone and said, "You'll be doing this again on Sunday, bitch. It's true, it's DAMN true".

With his D-X stablemates having lost earlier in the night with The Usos and Cody Rhodes being crowned the new World Tag Team and Intercontinental Champions respectively, it was all up to Xixak to make sure D-Generation X left Wrestlemania with some gold around their waists. Kurt Angle did everything in his power to prevent that though. He attacked Xixak from behind during his Wrestlemania entrance, beating the hell out of the challenger and even bloodying him before the match could get started. Xixak was at a severe disadvantage and it showed early as Kurt nearly hit him with an Angle Slam to win it when the bell rang. But Xixak persevered. He started to build some momentum with some running strikes and then a Spear that nearly broke Angle in half but only got a two count. Things continued and Angle attempted another Angle Slam but Xixak countered it into a Zig-Zag that earned another 2 count. Xixak then went for the End of Days on Angle, but Kurt reversed it into an Angle Slam and then locked him into an Ankle Lock in the middle of the ring. Xixak screamed in agony and slowly started to crawl to the ropes. He was just able to make the break before tapping out which infuriated Angle who lost his focus and composure. When Angle went back on the offensive though he tried to Irish Whip Xixak, but Xixak countered it pulling Angle back into an END OF DAYS. 1, 2... THREE. Your winner and NEW WWE Champion.... XIXAK!!! He celebrated with the title held high in front of over 50,000 fans as he had finally claimed the company's top prize, the WWE Championship.
