Ruthless Aggression | A WWE 2K19 Universe

Post by Xixak » 15 May 2020, 08:11

Might be some changes coming to this. WWE 2K20 just dropped to $20 for the Deluxe Edition with all the DLCs (normally costs $120). I'm thinking of switching over to that game. Might write my way to that with a few updates and restart from there, stay tuned.

Match #1: Two on Two Tag Team | Dudley Boyz (C) vs. Edge & Christian for the World Tag Team Titles
The Dudleyz had handled Edge & Christian quite easily in previous weeks, but in this title match, E&C appeared to bring more fire in the early stages. From the onset they controlled things, isolating Bubba in their corner and picking him apart with combination moves. The two partners looked perfectly in sync. However, when Christian went for a big clubbing blow on Bubba in the corner, Bubba dodged and Christian accidentally knocked Edge to the floor at ringside. A stunned Christian stared in horror at what he'd done to his partner, while the referee also went to attend to the apparently concussed Edge. Bubba took advantage of this and low-blowed Christian before dragging him back to his corner and tagging in D-Von. The two flattened Captain Charisma with the 3-D as the ref re-entered the ring and pinned him to retain their titles. An enraged Edge had recovered at this point, and as he argued with his partner Christian, who was trying to calm him down, but Edge refused to listen. Edge hit his own partner with the Edgecution and then lined him up for a vicious spear. Before leaving, he grabbed the mic and said to Christian, "We're through." Signalling the end of this long-running tag team.
Winners: Dudley Boyz by pinfall.

Match #2: One on One Extreme Rules | Kevin Nash vs. King Booker
This was supposed to be a one on one match. Well, it wasn't. The dynamic of the match started to shift, as the crowd actually started backing the heelish Booker, after Scott Hall got involved and basically made this a two on one mugging with all types of weapons. Booker was able to fight back for a period after hitting the Book-End on Hall through a table and a Scissor Kick on Nash, but just when it looked like he might finally turn the tide, nWo's music started blaring from the speakers. Odd, considering that the two remaining members of the nWo were already wrestling in this match, but things became clear when Hollywood Hulk Hogan jumped over the barricades and started beating the holy hell out of Booker. Left battered and bruised in the ring, Booker could offer no resistance as Nash rolled him up for a three count to win the match. Afterwards, the nWo mocked Booker, destroying his King of the Ring crown and robes. Hogan grabbed the mic and said to Booker T, "You may have won that shot at the title, but you will never be a king, brother. Hollywood Hulk Hogan is back, and me and my nWo brothers Nash and Hall, are the REAL kings of this company."
Winner: Kevin Nash by pinfall.

Match #3: One on One Normal Match | Chris Jericho (C) vs. Randy Orton for the Intercontinental Title
Randy Orton decided to go it on his own in this match, to the annoyance of Evolution leader, Triple H. Orton and Jericho were an even match for each other, and the contest was heavily contested throughout. Several times Jericho was able to lock in the Walls of Jericho, but each time Orton was able to slither out of the submission hold. Jericho proved slippery as well, countering a pair of RKOs to keep himself alive in the title match. Y2J put together a pair of clotheslines leaving Orton lying flat in the center of the ring. Sensing an opportunity, Jericho ran to the ropes and tried to springboard off them for a lionsault but Orton sprang up and RKO'd him out of mid-air before rolling him up for a 3-count to become the new intercontinental champion. After the match, Orton was celebrating when Evolution came out to confront him. Triple H was pissed that Orton hadn't allowed anyone else to get involved and Evolution started beating up the new champion. Afterwards, the three remaining members of Evolution were standing tall but Triple H turned and hit the pedigree on Batista before delivering a second one to Flair who was begging mercy. Afterwards, HHH did his trademark D-X "Suck It" pose before D-Generation X's music started to play from the speakers. Seconds later, his former D-Generation X stable members Shawn Michaels, Chyna and X-Pac had all joined him in the center of the ring. The band is back together.
Winner: Randy Orton by pinfall.

Match #4: One on One Tables Match | Shelton Benjamin (C) vs. John Cena for the United States Championship
Shelton came into this match confident after a string of victories since becoming champion, while John Cena came in as somewhat of an underdog, but someone everyone knew would do whatever it takes to win a match. This didn't last long. Shelton was too much for Cena from the onset, but he started to get too arrogant. As he went to the top rope to showboat to the crowd, unbeknownst to him, Cena had recovered and set up a table behind him. When Shelton turned around, Cena grabbed a stunned Benjamin, and F-U'd him straight through the table to become the new United States Champion. An ecstatic Cena ran up the ramp in glee after having won the title in such easy fashion, as Shelton sat dazed and frustrated with himself in the ring.
Winner: John Cena by pinfall.

Main Event: One on One Hell in a Cell | Undertaker (C) vs. The Rock for the WWE Championship
The Undertaker was again in his element after having a Hell in a Cell match for his WWE Championship sanctioned by Vince McMahon. But The Rock looked game and ready to take on a challenge that very few have ever been able to overcome the Undertaker in. The Rock had clearly watched Undertaker's match against Triple H at the previous pay-per-view, and tried his best to avoid being thrown out of the cell and having the action taken to the top of it. He kept things inside the ring where Taker was still formidable, but where he would still have a chance. Things were dead even with both stars exchanging heavy blows and slams and neither able to fully put the other away. Suddenly, Taker was able to get The Rock up and into position for a Tombstone, but The Rock stuck his boot right in Taker's eye, temporarily blinding him. The confusion was enough for the Rock to put Taker down with a Rock Bottom, but that only got a three count. Realizing he needed more, The Rock hurled his elbow pad into the crowd and delivered a People's Elbow to Taker to put him down for the 1, 2, 3 and become the new WWE Champion. After the match, Undertaker was seen backstage, sitting quietly in the locker room, apparently by himself. But the camera panned out and it was revealed that his brother, Kane, was sitting next to him. Kane had teamed with Undertaker several weeks ago, but with Undertaker now out of the World Title picture, could we see a permanent reunion of the Brothers of Destruction?
Winner: The Rock by pinfall.

Brand Split CANCELLED

Image
In typical Vince McMahon fashion, WWE has changed plans at the last second at the demands of the company's Chairman and CEO. The previously announced brand split will no longer be happening, as Vince does not believe his children Stephanie and Shane are truly ready to run the company on their own. Additionally, some of the signings that were in the works are no longer being pursued. WWE will still be bringing in major acquisitions of Goldberg, Hulk Hogan, Sting, Big Boss Man and X-Pac, but the other signings that were announced have been ruled out. In addition to these, WWE will be signing Bobby Lashley, Brian Kendrick and bringing back former talents Chyna and Molly Holly to shore up the women's division.

The plans to create a new cruiserweight division are still going ahead though, and it will feature current stars Christian, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio and Shelton Benjamin, with X-Pac and Brian Kendrick also joining them. Chris Jericho, who was recently written off the show via a serious injury at Bad Blood, has apparently hit a roadblock in his contract renegotiation with WWE and is likely to leave the company at the beginning of August.

The leaked spreadsheet pictured at the top of this article shows WWE's plans for its roster going forward. Everyone will remain on Smackdown! with no return of Monday Night RAW is WAR planned as of yet.

August Week 1

Image
Match #1: 6-Man Ladder | Brian Kendrick vs. Christian vs. Eddie Guerrero vs. R-Truth vs. Rey Mysterio vs. X-Pac for the Cruiserweight Championship
To kick off Smackdown!, Vince McMahon came down to the ring with a new championship in hand, the Cruiserweight championship. He stated that there would be a 6-man ladder match to determine the inaugural champion, and then called for security to bring out a ladder and hang the title high above the ring. The match kicked off with new signee Brian Kendrick entering the ring first. This match was absolute carnage. Any time one of the cruiserweights tried to scale the ladder, they were almost immediately thwarted by one of the other combatants, making it impossible for anyone to really grab the belt. It was the cunning of Eddie Guerrero that would allow him to win. At one point in the match he was seemingly knocked over by a very weak hit from R-Truth. Things progressed with the other competitors until a double suplex from the top of the ladder between Mysterio and X-pac, left nobody standing... Nobody except for Eddie Guerrero, who wasn't actually hurt at all, and got up to his feet, scaled the ladder and claimed the title for himself. Your new cruiserweight champion, Latino Heat, Eddie Guerrero.
Winner: Eddie Guerrero by climbing the ladder.

Match #2: One on One Normal | Randy Orton vs. Shelton Benjamin
The recently crowned Intercontinental Champion, Randy Orton, took on the recently dethroned United States Champion, Shelton Benjamin, in singles action. Benjamin was clearly still frustrated from his loss at Bad Blood and it showed. He unleashed a fury of offense and Orton before taking the action outside of the ring. Shelton threw Orton into the barricade and then the steel steps, looking to absolutely punish the Apex Predator, but Randy outsmarted him. When the referee reached a 7-count, Orton hit Shelton in the face with an elbow smash and then a back suplex to leave him lying on the floor outside the ring. Then Orton slithered back into the ring and waited for the referee to count to 10 to pick up the victory. Even more frustration for Shelton, as that's back to back losses now due to his own silly mistakes.
Winner: Randy Orton by count out.

Match #3: Two on Three Handicap | Sting & Goldberg vs. The nWo
An all ex-WCW superstar slugfest. Sting and Goldberg, two of the top faces from WCW taking on its most prominent faction, the nWo in an unbalanced two on three match. That imbalance proved to be the difference maker in the matchup. While Goldberg and Sting were easily able to hold their own when one on one or two on two against the nWo, the influence of the infamous "third man" on the matchup was significant and made it tough for them to really get anything going. Case in point, Hogan was able to cheap shot Goldberg from behind as he was lining up Nash for a spear, and do the same to Sting while he had Hall locked in the Scorpion Deathlock as well. Eventually the nWo decided to send Hogan and Hall to focus on and eliminate Goldberg, while Nash took on a worn down Sting in the ring. A big boot and jackknife powerbomb to The Icon would be enough to put him down as the nWo won their first official match in WWE under Hogan's leadership.
Winners: The nWo by pinfall.

Match #4: One on One Normal | John Cena vs. Big Show
John Cena had a big first test in his first night as the United States champion, with the Big Show set to face him as his first challenger in a non-title match. It took Cena to get a handle for Show's size, and he was repeatedly getting stopped in his tracks and flattened when the match started out. He started to figure things out slowly though and was able to get the big man off his feet. From there Cena delivered an arrogant Five Knuckle Shuffle and waited for Big Show to get up so he could put him away with the F-U. Big Show countered Cena's finisher though and irish whipped him into the ropes. On the rebound, Show seemingly out of nowhere, hurled Cena xeveral feet in the air and delivered a Knockout Punch as Cena was on the way down, allowing him to pin the United States champion for the victory. Not a good start to a reign that some would say Cena may not even really deserve after a somewhat jammy victory in the tables match against Shelton Benjamin.
Winner: Big Show by pinfall.

Match #5: One on One Normal | Chyna vs. Beth Phoenix
Chyna made her WWE re-debut against the company's other female powerhouse, Beth Phoenix. She had absolutely no ring rust. The D-Generation X member took Phoenix to task, not letting her get very much offense in at all before delivering the traditional "Suck It" D-X pose and pedigreeing Beth Phoenix for the win.
Winner: Chyna by pinfall.

Main Event: One on One Normal | The Rock vs. Steve Austin
Arguably the two best superstars of this era would face off in the main event. The Rock was coming in fresh off an incredible Hell in the Cell win against The Undertaker to claim the WWE Championship. After the initial lock-up, The Rock took control for a while, delivering several punches to Austin, but the Texas Rattlesnake would bounce back. Both superstars kept exchanging offense fairly evenly from there, until Austin hit The Rock with a punch that dazed him, threw up the double middle fingers and connected with a Stunner. It looked like the match was over but The Rock kicked out at 2.9. Austin gave The Rock way too much time to recover in his frustration though, so by the time he picked him back up, the champ was able to mount some offense of his own. That sequence ended in a spinebuster and then a Rock Bottom from the People's Champion, but this time Austin would kick out at 2.9 as well. The Rock wouldn't make the same mistake as Austin though, he immediately got back to work, picking up Austin and hitting him with another spinebuster before electrifying the crowd with a People's Elbow to finally put Austin down for the three count for good. After winning though, to the surprise of the fans, The Rock showed absolutely zero sportsmanship. He grabbed the mic and told Austin he's not interested in sharing the spotlight with him, "There aren't two top guys in this company, there's one, me. And Smackdown! is MY show. And that's the bottomline because THE ROCK says so." Then the Rock put down the mic and picked up Austin instead for another Rock Bottom to add injury to insult before the close of the show.
Winner: The Rock by pinfall.

Great show. Almost PPV quality!

Guerrero is an interesting Cruiser champ.

Benjamin and Orton could be a good feud.

Love that NWO trio, could wreak havoc.

Cena vs Show seemed pretty good despite not caring for either of them much.

Cool to see Chyna back. Be interesting to see if she only stays in women's matches. Seems like her and Phoenix are similar. Could be tough for the smaller women.

Rock vs Austin was great!

Thanks man, really enjoyed the cruiserweight match, we'll see who challenges Eddie for the belt next now that he's the champ. I like the idea of Benjamin challenging Orton so we'll see where that goes. nWo is definitely a strong group, doesn't really seem like anyone can handle them atm. Trying to think of a storyline for Cena as champ. Rock vs. Austin isn't finished!

August Week 2 | Yokohoma, Japan

Match #1: Mixed Gender Tag | Edge & Lita vs. Christian & Trish Stratus
Edge and Christian's falling out as tag team partners continued, as they took each other on in a mixed tag team match with Edge's girlfriend the WWE Women's Champion, Lita on his side with Trish and Christian on the other. Lita and Trish started out the bout, and the queen of extreme continued to show why she's the top woman in the division, overwhelming Stratus with her offense. Before Lita could seal the deal though, Christian tagged himself in, which by mixed tag rules, meant Edge also had to enter the match. Things continued to look good for team Edge & Lita though, as the stronger Edge took advantage of Christian, even hitting him with an Edgecution before Trish could tag herself back in to save him. Things went right back to how the match started though, and this time Lita was able to hit Trish with a Twist of Fate and a moonsault off the top rope to pin her and pick up the win.
Winners: Edge & Lita by pinfall.

Match #2: One on One Normal | Chyna w/ X-Pac vs. Stephanie McMahon
After a dominating display last week against Beth Phoenix, Chyna looked to keep her momentum going against Stephanie McMahon, however this time she had D-X member, X-Pac in her corner. And continue her momentum she did, Chyna ran over the Billionaire Princess like a freight train, hitting her with a series of power moves and finally a pedigree to put her away in under a minute.
Winner: Chyna by pinfall.

Match #3: Two on Two Tag Team | Randy Orton & John Cena vs. Shelton Benjamin & Big Show
Champions versus challengers. Randy Orton and John Cena, the Intercontinental and United States champions respectively, teamed up to take on the top contenders for their belts, Shelton Benjamin and Big Show. Orton was coming off a cunning win over the former, while Cena had failed to solve Big Show the previous week. The match started off with Big Show taking on Cena, and again getting the better of him by overpowering him with his size. This continued for a while before Cena was eventually able to tag in Orton to turn the tide. Orton temporarily took advantage of a fatigued Big Show, but once Show tagged in Shelton, things were levelled off again. Shelton knocked Orton out of the ring and they proceeded to continue fighting outside until about a 6-count. Shelton realized this, and hit Orton with the Paydirt, flattening him outside the ring, before heading back in to watch the referee count to ten. Sweet revenge for Benjamin as he had just beaten Orton the same way he lost last week.
Winners: Shelton Benjamin & Big Show by pinfall.

Match #4: One on One Normal | Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio
As one of the most prominent cruiserweights in the history of sports entertainment, Mysterio believed he, not Guerrero was the one truly deserving of the cruiserweight championship, and challenged Latino Heat to a non-title match to prove it. We saw a completely different side of Rey Mysterio in this contest, not nearly as happy as normal or interested in playing to the crowd. He wanted to beat Eddie by using several of his own moves against him, adding insult to injury in the bout. He hit him with the Three Amigos, but that was only enough for a two count. Later, when Eddie was able to put together a string of offense, he went for the Frog Splash, but Mysterio got his knees up into Guerrero's chest to counter it. Then Rey followed that up with Frog Splash of his own to put away the recently crowned Cruiserweight Champion clean just one week after he had won the title.
Winner: Rey Mysterio by pinfall.

Match #5: One on One Normal | The Rock vs. Steve Austin
After Austin concluded his entrance, he grabbed the mic from the ring announcer and addressed The Rock directly. "Yeah, yeah you won last week. But Stone Cold says, you can't do it twice in a row. You wanna go for your little cheap shots, thinking that this is your company? Austin 3:16 built this damn place from the ground up, and he ain't gonna sit here while your bedazzled ass brings it all crashing down. You want to steal my catchphrases? Well come on down to ring so I can teach you a lesson and you can smell what STONE COLD is cookin'." Austin tossed the mic to the referee and The Rock made his way to the ring. Once the bell rang, the two stared each other down and then The Rock made his signature eyebrow pose, drawing applause from the crowd. Austin followed that up with a double middle fingers, drawing just as much applause from The crowd. The Rock didn't like that at all and got in Austin's face trying to talk down to him, but Austin hit a Stunner out of nowhere and put him down for the three count just like that. Austin rolled out of the ring and walked away laughing as The Rock eventually recovered and stared in disbelief at how easily he had just lost.
Winner: Steve Austin by pinfall.

Main Event: One on One Normal | Sting vs. Hollywood Hulk Hogan w/ nWo
The nWo beat the hell out of Sting and Goldberg last week, but earlier in the night, Sting requested a rematch with just Hogan, one on one to settle the score. Hogan obliged, but when his music started to play, it was clear nWo was in fact going to be involved with Hall and Nash both at ringside for the match. And of course, as usual, the numbers game paid off. Sting was actually doing really well while the match was one on one, but as soon as he made the mistake of accidentally whipping Hogan into the ref, all hell broke loose. Nash and Hall stormed the ring with kendo sticks, beating Sting into submission. By the time the ref recovered, all that was left was for Hogan to hit the Leg Drop on Sting and sit on top of him as the official counted to three. Smackdown! faded to black with all three members of the nWo standing over Sting's body victorious.
Winner: Hollywood Hulk Hogan by pinfall.
