One Player from Each Decade All-time NBA Team

I saw a similar video for soccer and thought I'd bring this idea here.

There have been 7 complete decades of the NBA. 1950s-2010s, enough for 5 starters and 2 bench players. Who would be your All-Time NBA team if you were picking one player from every decade?

NOTE: The player has to come from the decade in which they played their best. I.e., you can't put Steph Curry or Jordan in the 2000s or Kobe in the 90s.

I don't know, this seems pretty cookie-cutter to me. I just don't think there's any possible way you could not have LeBron, Mike, and Shaq in those spots. They are clearly head and shoulders ahead of anyone in their era. Early 2000s Shaq was probably the most dominant player of all-time.

For my lineup, if that second F spot has to be a PF, then I go with Schayes, but if it can be any forward, then I'll plug in Dr. J. If Bill Russell is considered a F, then I would plug him in there instead.

G: Magic Johnson (1980s)
G: Michael Jordan (1990s)
F: LeBron James (2010s)
F: Dolph Schayes (1950s)
C: Shaquille O'Neal (2000s)

B: Dr. J (1970s)
B: Bill Russell (1960s)

...Thought about a version with Pistol Pete and Larry Bird instead of Magic and Dr. J:

G: Pistol Pete (1970s)
G: Michael Jordan (1990s)
F: LeBron James (2010s)
F: Larry Bird (1980s)
C: Shaquille O'Neal (2000s)

B: Dolph Schayes (1950s)
B: Bill Russell (1960s)

G: Magic Johnson (1980s) > 5 rings
G: Michael Jordan (1990s) > 6 rings
F: LeBron James (2010s) > 4 rings
F: Tim Duncan (2000s) > 5 rings
C. Wilt Chamberlain (1970s) > 2 rings

Elgin Baylor (1960s)
Bob Cousy (1950s)

I dont know much about the 60s & before in NBA history but after I've watched a few documentary's I'm halfway convinced that Wilt Chamberlain is the greatest basketball player ever. Dude played professionally under a different name because he was too young & was still dominating everybody. Wild his 100 point game wasn't filmed. :smh:
