Feels like a formality, no one's really keeping up with that offense. I'm sure the "rivalry" game will keep them from looking ahead at Michigan State/Navy

#2 USF (12-0, 9-0) | 14 | 21 | 7 | 14 || 56
UCF (4-8, 3-6) | 21 | 6 | 22 | 0 || 49
-----------------------------------------------

UCF Couldn't Quite Pull Off the Upset Against Rival USF
USF's defense and particularly its defensive backs were bruised, beaten and battered all game by UCF's high octane passing offense with cornerback Sid Robinson being beaten for a pair of touchdowns.

With the game on the line, Robinson and the Bulls defense got the last laugh.

Robinson's interception with less than a minute left in the game helped seal the win for the Bulls who narrowly escaped the upset minded Golden Knights with a 56-49 victory to finish the regular season undefeated.

Deshawn Nelson's two interceptions ultimately cost the Knights a chance at the game, with his first allowing the Bulls to tie the game up at 21 apiece after they had fallen down a 14-0 hole with back-to-back three and outs to open the game.

USF's Jed White was nearly perfect after that, throwing three first half touchdown passes and opened the second half with another touchdown as USF kept their seven point lead intact.

His first mistake of the game would come on the next USF drive with White throwing his only interception of the day, setting up Reggie Moses' fourth touchdown of the day.

Moses finished the game with 219 yards receiving.

USF's defense would shine in the fourth quarter, getting a stop following White's second touchdown pass to Andrew Rivas to tie the game and they then forced a three-and-out, setting up a long, twelve play drive that bled the clock and gave the Bulls the lead with a White scramble on third and goal.

David, Booth and Quinn commit to Bulls before dead period while Panthers get rare win on trail versus USF
Eddie Fernandez -- 247 Sports USF Insider

Christmas came early for the USF coaching staff and its fans as three players committed to the Bulls before the recruiting dead period begins as four-star linebacker Greg Booth and kickers Sheldon Davis and Spencer Quinn both announced their commitments on social media.

Booth, a Wylie, Texas native, is the eighteenth ranked outside linebacker according to 247 Sports Composite Rankings and is an intriguing defensive prospect. He's a bit undersized to play at the line of scrimmage at the college level but his testing numbers suggest he should be fine as an off-ball linebacker.

The only downside is in high school, Wylie was almost exclusively used as an edge rusher and while his level of athleticism was enough for him to get by on and dominate the competition, it won't be the case in the SEC. A bit of a tweener, Booth could use some seasoning on his coverage skills but has all the physical tools to be a serviceable, weakside linebacker at the next level.

In Davis, the Bulls landed one of the better kickers in the country and he'll contribute right away as will Quinn who the team is recruiting as a punter.

It wasn't all roses for the Bulls this week as three-star offensive tackle Carlos Smith picked FIU over the Bulls, opting to stay closer to home. It's not often that the Bulls lose out on a three-star prospect from the state of Florida that they really want, especially one who ends up picking the Panthers.

The loss of Smith makes the recruitment of four-star offensive guard Nick Matthews just that much more important.

Miller, Fuller return to practice ahead of SEC Championship Game; Green working out with the team
Cooper Byrd -- Dynasty Sports Staff Writer

The band just might be getting back together at the right time.

Senior running back David Fuller and redshirt senior linebacker Alex Miller were both spotted at practice this past Tuesday with Fuller wearing a full contact green jersey while Miller was sporting a red, non-contact jersey.

Fuller, who has missed most of the season with an injury, is expected to be back into the lineup against Ole Miss this week and he could be joined soon by his recruiting classmate Derrick Green who posted a picture of himself working out with the team on his social media page. Both running backs entered the season as the team's top options in the running game and in their absence, quarterback Jed White has had to shoulder the load.

Miller was amongst the team's leaders in tackles before his injury saw him miss nearly half of the season and he should give them a much needed boost against Ole Miss if he's able to play.
