Coach Singleton's Post Game
Q: You guys were able to hold Minnesota to negative yards per rush, forced two turnovers and sacked Dylan Wittke six times, was this the defense's best performance?
A: Probably our most complete performance since I've been here. We came out and dominated a team what we're better than and we showed it. That's what we want to do on a regular basis and today, we were able to do that.

Q: You need some help to make it into the Big Ten Championship Game, notably both Oregon and USC to lose. Do you feel that you guys have done enough to make the playoffs, even without a conference championship appearance?
A: I just don't know how you put in a two-loss team like USC into the dance when we've got two losses and we've beaten them. But if we don't make it, we only have ourselves to blame because if we took care of business against Iowa, against Washington, we're not in this boat but I do believe that we're a top twelve team in the country, that's for sure.

Coach Singleton's Notes:
‣ Will be hard to motivate the team as they are back in the same bowl they were in last year despite the improvements
‣ Boston College isn't very good but have some good athletes in Datrell Jones, Reed Harris that can cause some problems
‣ Will try to get the young guys in the game, if we can

Could a return to the Yellowhammer State be in store for Wisconsin's Jerome Singleton?
Will Stephenson -- AL.com Sports Writer

Jerome Singleton has been one of college football's brightest defensive minds in recent years, helping turn around a Wisconsin program that won ten games this season for the first time since 2019. The 35-year old defensive coordinator promises to be a hot name among coaching searches for the next few weeks with a potential landing spot being the defensive coordinator job at the University of Alabama.

Singleton spent two years with Alabama as an analyst before leaving in 2021 to become the head coach at Inglewood High School. Singleton would return to the state of Alabama to be South Alabama's defensive coordinator, a role he held for two seasons before being hired away by Wisconsin.

The Badgers are ranked first among the Big Ten in total defense, rushing defense, scoring defense and second in pass defense and interceptions with thirteen on the year.

Coach Singleton's Post Game
Q: Perhaps not the performance defensively that many expected and I'm sure you wanted from the defense but overall, how did you feel they closed the season out?
A: We have things we can improve on, as always, but we got a chance to play a lot of guys and end the season with a win.

Q: A big decision looming with Taylor Medina, who could declare early for the draft. He played nearly the entire game, did that factor in your decision?
A: Not really, he played his normal role and that's really all there is to it. He's a great player and we support whatever decision he makes.

Q: Your name has been linked to numerous coaching jobs across the country.
A: I'm going to stop you there. I am committed to the University of Wisconsin and I intend to continue to be their defensive coordinator for the foreseeable future. Thank you, no more questions.
