GLENNON IS PICKED OFF LATE IN THE GAME

Oakland's hopes for a playoff berth were dealt a serious blow in their loss against the Chargers. Trailing 3-0 early in the second quarter the Raiders drove down to the Chargers one yard line where Derek Carr attempted to run into the endzone. He was hit at the goalline and lost the ball. Chargers linebacker Drue Tranquill scooped it up and went 101 yards for a score, putting the Chargers up 10-0. Worse than the turnover was the fact that Carr was injured on the play and did not return to the game. Top runningback Josh Jacobs and tight end Darren Waller were also injured during the game and did not return.

The Chargers ran away with a 30-8 win, improving their record to 9-6 while Oakland drops to 8-7, putting them behind The Chiefs and Chargers in the AFC West standings.

Carr, Jacobs and Waller will be further evaluated tonight.

Raiders get bad news on injury front

Derek Carr, Josh Jacobs and Darren Waller are a significant portion of the Raiders offense. Yesterday they learned they will be without all three as they face the Broncos in week 17 clinging to faint playoff hopes. Carr fractured the index finger on his throwing hand. If the Raiders do manage to sneak into the playoffs he could play. Waller has a dislocated elbow and could possibly pay in the AFC Championship or Super Bowl if the team miraculously made it that far. Jacobs is out until next season with a torn hamstring.
